摘要： A ready to assemble chair base includes three leg components. First and second leg components each include two of the five legs, and a third leg component includes a single leg. A hub portion of all three components includes a portion of the central tapered hole. The hub portions of the first and second components join together with vertical interlocking surfaces slidably locking together in the direction of the axis of the central tapered hole. The hub of the third leg component is formed in the shape of a tenon blade and is inserted into a horizontal mortise slot (perpendicular to the axis of the central hole) formed by the interlocked hubs of the first and second leg components. A gas lift post is received into the center, tapered hole of the assembled base locking all three components together.

The break down desk may be quickly and easily assembled and disassembled without the use of traditional tools and fasteners and with a minimal of assistance. A removable desktop is detachably connected to and across a pair of opposing side panels. The removable desktop includes a primary writing surface at the front, a file/paper stacking surface located behind the primary writing surface, and a pair of detachable side wings. A wire management channel, through which to receive an electrical wire from an electrical apparatus, runs around the desktop between the primary writing surface, the file/stacking surface, and the side wings. A cable routing trough, to guide the cable from an AC power strip received therewithin towards a source of power, is detachably connected between the pair of opposing side panels below the desktop. A cable access door is pivotally attached to the file/stacking surface of the desktop to be rotatable from a closed position, at which to prevent access to the cable routing trough through the desktop, to an open position, at which to permit access to the cable routing trough through the desktop.

摘要： A privacy filter for use on an electronic display screen, such as a PDA display screen or a laptop display screen, is constructed using holographic imaging technology. The privacy filter consists of a flexible, optically clear photopolymer film having a plurality of holographic images formed thereon. The key aspect of the present disclosure is constructing the master holographic images by imaging the master holographic recording plates at a severe side angle “off angle”. By shooting the hologram at this “off angle”, the resulting hologram is not visible to a person looking directly (perpendicularly) at the resulting hologram. However, the holograms are visible within the remaining fields of view to the right and to the left of center. Creation of the holograms in this manner creates an effective blocking tool for use in the context of a privacy filter. Unwanted onlookers attempting to view the display screen from the sides, the front or the back are presented with a holographic image rather than a view of the display.

An ink cartridge style pen (10) with a push-button spring actuator (48) is modified to include an integrally formed stylus tip (12) molded into the writing end of the pen. When the ink cartridge (30) is retracted, the stylus tip (12) is available for use. However, when the ink cartridge (30) is extended, it extends beyond the stylus tip (12) for engagement with paper writing media. The pen (10) allows the operator to quickly and easily switch between writing with an ink tip cartridge (30) to input information with the stylus tip (12) without significant manipulation of the pen.

摘要： A coupler to be embedded in a first (e.g., flat) panel and an insert to be embedded in a second (e.g., flat) panel to be joined to the first panel during the assembly of an article, for example, of furniture. The coupler includes a coupler body, a cam bolt rotatable within the coupler body, a cam head carried by and rotatable with the cam bolt, and a lever extending from the cam bolt to a location outside the coupler body at which to receive a rotational pushing force. The insert has a hollow interior, a closed leading end extending laterally across the hollow interior, and a window formed in the closed leading end and communicating with the hollow interior. The cam head of the coupler is moved through the window in the closed leading end of the insert. A rotational force applied to the lever causes the cam bolt to rotate within the coupler body, which rotation is imparted to the cam head. The cam head is correspondingly rotated at the hollow interior of the insert so as to move out of alignment with the window in the closed leading end thereof to be relocated below the closed leading end. Accordingly, the coupler and the insert are connected in mating interlocking engagement with one another, whereby the first and second panels will be joined to one another without the use of tools or additional hardware fasteners.

摘要： A case for a PDA includes a keyboard, and a pass-through I/O port so that the PDA does not have to be removed from the case for docking. The case includes front and rear panels hinged in a clamshell configuration. The rear panel includes a docking port configured to mate with the PDA. The docking port includes an inner electrical connector configured to mate with an I/O connector on the PDA. The docking port further includes an outer electrical connector configured to mate with a docking connector on a docking cradle. The front panel includes a keyboard assembly and is movable between a closed position wherein the keyboard assembly overlies the PDA display screen and an open position wherein the keyboard is oriented for data entry and the rear panel is oriented at a viewing angle. The keyboard is segmented into a main section and first and second folding sections pivotally coupled to the main section. The main, first and second sections each include a plurality of keys respectively defining discrete portions of the keyboard assembly. The folding sections are movable between a closed position and an open position wherein the keyboard sections are joined together for operation thereof.
