摘要： A terminal fitting includes first and second terminal fitting components. The first terminal fitting component includes a first flat plate having a through hole and caulking pieces. The caulking pieces stand up from both edges in the width direction of the first flat plate. The second terminal fitting component includes a second flat plate having a projection. The projection is inserted in the through hole, an end part of the projection is crushed, and the second flat plate is caulked with the caulking pieces so that the first and second terminal fitting components are fixed to each other, thereby obtaining the terminal fitting.

In a slide caliper detecting a change of electrical capacitance upon a displacement value of the slider 10 in relation to the base scale 1 having the main scale 20 of the measuring standard, the improved slide caliper is structured by the main scale 20 defined by plural electrodes 21 printed on a surface of the base plate 22 made of an insulator film at predetermined intervals with electrically conductive ink, and the base scale 1 is made by injection molding using a material of engineering plastics on which the main scale 20 is applied securely, so that the slide caliper can be manufactured in large numbers.

摘要： A soft contact lens made of a copolymer composed essentially of:(a) from about 30 to about 60 parts by weight of at least one monomer selected from the group consisting of long chain alkyl acrylates and methacrylates represented by the general formula: ##STR1## where R.sub.1 is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, and R.sub.2 is a straight chained or branched alkyl group having from 5 to 18 carbon atoms;(b) from about 40 to about 70 parts by weight of at least one hydrophilic monomer selected from the group consisting of dimethylacrylamide, N-vinylpyrrolidone, a hydroxyalkyl acrylate and a hydroxyalkyl methacrylate; and(c) from about 0.05 to about 2.0 parts by weight of a cross-linking agent; and having a water content of from about 25 to about 50% by weight.

摘要： A clamping assembly for attaching a probe device to an attachment arm of a measuring instrument which extends from the instrument along a first axis. The probe device has a base arm positioned adjacent to the attachment arm in an axially overlapping manner. The clamping assembly includes a first annular clamping member proximate the measuring instrument, a second annular clamping member positioned axially adjacent the first clamping member, a rotatable annular clamping ring encompassing the first and second clamping members, and an arrangement for offsetting a central bore of the second clamping member relative to a central bore of the first clamping member along an axis extending perpendicular to the first axis during a relative axial movement between the clamping ring and the first clamping member. The effect is to urge the base arm into abutment with the attachment arm in a direction along the second axis.
