摘要： A numerical controller designed to reduce a wait time between power turn-on and machine activation. When power to the numerical controller is turned on, programs of additional functions are each selected to be either transferred or not. The selection is made by setting each of the programs of the additional functions either to be transferred or not on a display screen or by an external input signal inputted from a machine operation panel or the like. Only the selected system programs of the additional functions are transferred from the nonvolatile memory to the volatile memory. At the time of the power turn-on of the numerical controller, only the system programs of the additional functions to be used at the moment are transferred. The data to be transferred from the nonvolatile memory to the volatile memory is thus reduced, and the transfer time is shortened. Consequently, the wait time between power turn-on and machine activation is reduced.

摘要： The present invention provides an electromagnetic wave shielding method and window capable of bringing a conductive shielding layer into conduction to the outside without a connecting structure, and a manufacturing apparatus, a transport system, and a building construction each having the electromagnetic wave shielding window. In the invention, a conductive shielding layer having a visible light transmitting property is provided on a surface of window face members having an electrical insulating property and a visible light transmitting property, and the window face members provided with the conductive shielding layer are brought into close adhesion and thereby fixed to a conductive window frame member through an insulation layer provided to a rim portion, whereby electrostatic-capacitance coupling is induced between the conductive shielding layer and the window frame member. It leads to achieve the electromagnetic wave shielding effect without establishing a direct electrical connection for the conductive shielding layer.

摘要： Portability of an electronic device with a semiconductor card is improved. The semiconductor card is insertable to a card slot in an electronic device, can engage a card socket formed inside the card slot, and has a base part and an expansion part. The base part has a terminal part and a first connection unit, and engages the card socket with the terminal part. The expansion part has a second connection unit, and can be moved between two positions when the second connection unit is connected to the first connection unit, a closed position where the expansion part is overlapping and substantially parallel to the base part, and an open position where the expansion part is extended at an angle greater than a perpendicular with respect to the base part. When the expansion part is in the closed position and the terminal part is engaged in the card socket, the expansion part and the base part are inserted to the card slot. When in the open position with the terminal part engaged in the card socket, the base part is inserted to the card slot and part of the expansion part protrudes from the card slot.
