摘要： An end cap system for scaffolding planks, especially for hollow core planks formed of fiberglass or other composite materials, is disclosed. The end cap includes an extrusion having a plank-receiving portion on one side and a rib profile on the other side for slidingly receiving scaffolding hooks. A reinforcing member is placed in the hollow core, extending between its walls, and surrounding the fastening device securing the end cap to the plank, to resist deformation of the plank by the compressive force of the fastening device. The end cap permits similar parts to be used for a wide variety of plank widths and allows for replacement of damaged hooks or the exchange of hook configurations, such as between "high" or "low" hooks.

摘要： A system and method for a scaffold deck with a fall arrest assembly is disclosed. The fall arrest assembly comprises a deck structure (102) and a rail assembly (122) for permitting an individual to tie-off in a manner that permits the individual with a range of motion along the deck structure. The fall arrest assembly further includes an uplift hook mechanism (120) connected to or otherwise installed on the deck structure such that the uplift hook mechanism is employed for both securing the deck structure to and releasing the deck structure from at least one supporting member. A plurality of deck hooks (118) connectable to or otherwise installed on the decking structure for connecting the decking structure to the supporting member is additionally provided. A deck latch assembly located connected to the uplift hook mechanism additionally facilitates connection of the deck structure to a second deck structure.

摘要： An attachment device for a scaffolding system which includes vertical and horizontal tubes is comprised of a guard rail stud adapter and a first stud. The guard rail stud adapter includes a generally U-shaped member which has a base portion, a first arm connected to the base portion, and a second arm connected to the base portion. At least one of the arms may include an end which has an arcuate cut-out portion for receiving vertical tubes. A second stud is connected to the generally U-shaped member for retaining scaffolding members, such guard rails or other members. A generally l-shaped member connected to the U-shaped member has a first end connected to at least one arm and a hole for receiving the first stud of the scaffolding system. One embodiment is further comprised of a spacer having a counter-bore for receiving the second stud of the scaffolding. Tile spacer is connected between the second stud and the generally U-shaped member. The generally U-shaped member may have a hole aligned with the counter-bore of the spacer. The counter-bore and the hole are dimensioned to receive the second stud. A locking wing latch may be swingably connected to at least one stud to retain the cross braces and the guard rails. The locking wing latch includes a wing having a hole and a roll pin for swingably connecting the wing to the stud. A pair of legs may be connected to the generally U-shaped member. Ribs and gussets may be integral with the generally U-shaped member for reinforcing the adapter. A pair of feet may extend outwardly toward the scaffolding system from the arms to embrace the vertical tubes of scaffolding system.

摘要： Standard platforms are integrated into a mason's scaffold to reduce manufacturing and assembly costs. The standard platforms having hooks on both ends. The hooks are supported on lower horizontal members of respective rectangular frames. Platform fasteners are secured to each lower horizontal member with the standard platform hooks therebetween, thereby retaining the standard platforms to the frames to form a working deck. Each platform fastener comprises a metal sheet to which is welded an L-shaped bar that engages a hole in the frame lower horizontal member. A pin slides within the metal sheet and cooperates with the bar to positively secure the platform fastener to the frame lower horizontal member. Similar standard platforms and platform fasteners are assembled to upper horizontal members of the frames to form a protective canopy. Hatches with selectively openable doors may be used for some sections of the canopy. The present invention further comprises fairleads for guiding the cables from which the mason's scaffold is suspended from a building or the like.

摘要： A brace lock on a scaffold for releasably engaging a perforated end of a brace. The lock comprises a pin means with an end attached to the scaffold and a free end. The pin means has a thickness and contour which permits the perforated end of the brace to pass over the pin means. The pin means includes an offset so that when the end of the brace is positioned near the attached end of the pin means, the end of the brace will not slide to the free end of the pin means unless the end of the brace is raised upwardly over the offset. The lock also includes a latch means releasably securing the end of the brace when the end of the brace is positioned near the attached end of the retaining pin means.
