    • The device for filling the reservoir (2) of a fuel supply module (1) is arranged in the reservoir (2), which is connected on a low-pressure side with an interior of a fuel tank (11) and on a high-pressure side with an internal combustion engine. The reservoir (2) including a fuel feed unit (5) is arranged in a fuel tank and is provided with an opening (10) in a lower portion thereof for admission of the fuel from the fuel tank. The device for filling the reservoir (2) includes a pivotable lever arm (15) pivotally mounted in the reservoir (2), a movable closure element (8) arranged in the reservoir (2) and mounted on one end of the lever arm (15) and a float element (16) arranged in the reservoir on another end of the lever arm (15) so as to close the opening or to open the opening (10) according to a fuel level (20) of fuel contained in the reservoir (2).

    • An arrangement for supplying an internal combustion engine with fuel has a supply container with an opening, a feed pump insertable into the supply container through the opening, a closure part closing the opening and provided with a pressure regulator having a pressure chamber with a connection to a pressure side of the feed pump to an internal combustion engine and to an unloading chamber. The pressure regulator has a spring-loaded closing member controlling the connection with the unloading chamber and cooperating with a seat so that after exceeding of a predetermined pressure in the pressure chamber the connection of the pressure chamber to the unloading chamber is released. The closure part is composed of a synthetic plastic material and having a flange-like base body which closes the opening. The base body is provided with a depression and a pipe which is formed of one piece with the base body and extends into the depression to form the connection of the pressure chamber with the unloading chamber. An elastically deformable diaphragm which covers the depression for forming the pressure chamber and acts as a closing member cooperating with an end of the pipe as the seat. A separate holding element is mounted on the base body so that the diaphragm is clamped between the base body and the holding element.

    • The device for conveying fuel from a fuel tank (10) to an engine (18) of a motor vehicle has a conveying unit (14), communicating on the intake side with the fuel tank (10) and, on the pressurized side, with the engine (18), and a return line (22), which leads to a jet pump (24), located near a tank bottom (11), that pumps excess fuel via a mixing region into a reserve pot (12), from which the conveying unit (14) draws fuel. According to the invention a siphon-like mixing region (29) is provided between the reserve pot (12) and the tank bottom (11). An opening (32) or a filter element (48) is provided in a transitional region (31) of the mixing region (29) to the reserve pot (12). The opening (32) or filter element (48) which extends parallel to the tank bottom is closable by an axially movable closing element (44,51) so that a fuel flow can occur into the reserve pot (12) but not back from the reserve pot (12) into the mixing region (29).

    • A gas-filled damping element for damping pressure pulsations, especially in an internal chamber of a pumping unit for pumping liquid fuel from a fuel storage receptacle to an internal combustion engine includes a rigid support member of a substantially plate-shaped or cup-shaped configuration, and a diaphragm having a marginal portion which is sealingly secured to a border zone or rim of the support member. The surface area of the diaphragm is greater than the projected area of the support member. The enclosed space between the rigid support member and the diaphragm is filled with a gaseous medium. A support element or portion extends into the enclosed space between the diaphragm and the support member, this support element having an abutment surface of an area smaller than the projected area of the support member and facing the diaphragm. The abutment surface serves for supporting the diaphragm when the damping element is exposed to extremely high pressures. The support member is provided with male connecting formations which engage with snap action in an annular groove of an extension of a stationary axle of the pumping unit to thereby hold the damping element in a predetermined position relative to the housing of the pumping unit.
