摘要： A middle pillar trim and a rear pillar trim positioned to the front and rear of a side window glass are each harder than a roof trim. A curtain air bag fixed to a rear pillar is deployed in a vehicle cabin while a predetermined end edge of the front of the rear pillar trim in the widthwise direction of a vehicle is deformed toward the front. The separation distance of the curtain air bag in a stored state from the side window glass in the widthwise direction of the vehicle is L1 (L2) in the portion of the curtain air bag along the rear edge of the side window glass, and L4 in the portion of the curtain air bag at the upper edge of the side window glass near the middle pillar trim, and the separation distance L1(L2) is smaller than the separation distance L4.

摘要： A vehicle rear structure with a curtain air bag device is provided which is capable of, when a predetermined condition is satisfied, effectively restraining a front upper end of a rear pillar trim from breaking and scattering, and spreading a curtain member properly. The air bag device includes a curtain member which is fixed to the body of a vehicle, inflates with a gas pressure supplied when the predetermined condition is satisfied, and spreads so as to cover the interior surface of a side window glass at least from a side end of a roof trim up to a predetermined lower position in the front surface of the rear pillar; a roof side trim is provided between the vicinity of the upper end of the side window glass and the roof trim, and a rear end of the roof side trim is disposed to overlap with the front upper end of the rear pillar trim; and the curtain member spreads from the inner in the vehicle width directions through the boundary part between the rear end of the roof side trim and the front upper end of the rear pillar trim toward a cabin space of the vehicle.

摘要： A structure of a rear portion of a vehicle furnished with a curtain airbag apparatus includes a rear pillar, a soft roof trim, a rear pillar trim harder than the roof trim, and a cover constituting part of the rear pillar trim and covering a specific area of a front face portion of the rear pillar trim. The curtain airbag apparatus includes a curtain airbag and an inflator for inflating and deploying the curtain airbag into the vehicle interior along side window glass. The cover of the rear pillar trim can easily be displaced frontward along an airbag deployment joint. When inflated, the curtain airbag fixed to a vehicle body along an upper edge and a rear edge of the side window glass in a retracted position deploys into the vehicle interior upon separating and displacing the cover of the rear pillar trim frontward from the other part thereof.

摘要： Problem: To provide a vehicle interior member affixing member capable of improving the efficiency of attachment and removal operations.Means for Solving the Problem: The present invention is a vehicle interior member (1) attached to an attaching portion (4) in a vehicle cabin having an interior member main body (14) and an affixing member (16) for attaching the interior member main body, wherein the affixing member comprises two inserted portions (16a, 16b) inserted at the leading end side into an opening portion and mutually separated, a tab portion (16d) disposed on these inserted portions and engaging the edge portions of the opening portion when attached, thereby preventing the affixing member from falling out, and a connecting portion (16c) connecting the two inserted portions in such a way that the width at the base end side is approximately the same as the width at the opening portion; when the interior member main body is attached, the two inserted portions are placed at a spacing such that the tab portions engage the opening portions, and when pulled out, they are elastically deformed such that the gap at the leading end side of the inserted portions narrows and the engagement between the tab portion and the opening portion is released.

摘要： Disclosed is an arrangement structure for a curtain airbag, which comprises a bracket plate 20 for attaching a curtain airbag to a vehicle body inner panel 1b, and a pillar trim 30 formed with a trim engagement-plate potion 31 in the vicinity of an upper end thereof. The trim engagement-plate potion 31 has a trim engagement surface 32 oriented toward a vehicle interior space in an orthogonal direction relative thereto. The bracket plate 20 is formed with a bracket engagement-plate portion 21 having a bracket engagement surface 22 which is disposed on the side of the vehicle interior space relative to the trim engagement surface 32 and in adjacent and opposed relation to the trim engagement surface 32 without contact with the trim engagement surface 32 when a vehicle 1 has no side-impact collision, and adapted to come into contact with the trim engagement surface 32 in conjunction with a displacement of the trim engagement-plate potion 31 in the upward or inward direction of the vehicle interior space during a side-impact collision against the vehicle 1.
