    • A motor driving control device includes a motor, a switch unit that controls driving of the motor, a current detection resistor that outputs a detection voltage indicating a current of the motor, a comparator that compares the detection voltage with a target current value, an on signal generating unit that generates an on signal, a polarity of which is changed for each interval of predetermined time, and a control unit that has the comparator, a holding circuit receiving the on signal to change a circuit state. When a change in polarity of the on signal is detected, the holding circuit holds the circuit state such that the switch unit is turned on and a current is supplied to the motor. When the comparator detects that the current of the motor is increased to the target current value, the holding circuit holds the circuit state such that the switch unit is turned off.

    • A motor includes a casing and a holder which support a rotation shaft. A concave groove is formed in the holder near the inner periphery of the holder. The concave groove accommodates a positive temperature coefficient thermistor functioning as an overcurrent protection device. A tapered cutout surface is formed on the outer wall of the holder so that the cutout surface is inclined at 45 degrees with respect to a line passing through the rotation shaft and the groove portion of the holder has a maximum length of the holder in its axis direction. A multi-direction input device includes these two motors functioning as driving sources to provide a force feedback to an operation lever. The first and second motors are disposed such that lines passing through their rotation shafts are orthogonal to each other and cutout surfaces are opposed to each other with an intersection of the lines therebetween.

    • A motor provided with a rotational-speed detector has a driving coil for driving the motor, a driving magnetized portion, a rotational-speed detecting magnetized portion, and a detecting pattern. An even number of blocks of the detecting patterns having detecting lines are provided. A pair of blocks are displaced from each other in the rotating direction in relation to the arrangement of the N poles and the S poles of the rotational-speed detecting magnetized portion by an amount equal to one pitch between the detecting lines. An adder for adding currents flowing in the detecting lines of the respective blocks is provided. Alternatively, a subtracter for calculating a difference between currents flowing in the above-mentioned detecting lines is provided. Due to magnetic flux from the driving coil, noise currents are generated in the connecting lines for connecting the detecting line. However, noise currents IA and IB generated in the respective blocks A and B cancel each other. Absolute values of rotational-speed detecting signals Ia and Ib are added. Accordingly, an adverse influence of the magnetic flux generated from the driving coil is eliminated, thereby stabilizing the level of the rotational-speed detection output. The rotational speed of the motor is thus controlled with high precision.
