    • A pad clip 40 includes a U-shaped portion 46 which can be engaged with a guide projection 16 provided in a support 14. On one side of the U-shaped portion 46, a first spring portion 74 is continuously connected to a second spring portion 64. The first spring portion 74 includes a curved portion 76 and a leading end contact portion 82, such that the leading end contact portion 82 energizes a friction pad 20 outwardly in the rotor radial direction. The second spring portion 64 is protruded and curved in the rotor peripheral direction to thereby provide a projection shape. The protrusion top portion 70 of the second spring portion 64 is in contact with the friction pad 20, and the spring upper end portion 66 and lower end portion 68 of the second spring portion 64 are respectively in contact with the support 14, thereby energizing the friction pad 20 in the rotor peripheral direction. Thus, if the friction pad 20 moves in a manner like arrow 84 to thereby push and collapse the second spring portion 64, then the contact portion 82 will move upwardly, which increases the energizing force to energize the friction pad 20 outwardly in the rotor radial direction.

    • In the pushing anchor type disc brake device, reduction of noise and prevention of uneven wear can be accomplished especially in the brake device in which brake torque of the outer pad is transmitted via the caliper. In the disc brake device, the caliper is guided by a pair of guide pins composed of a main pin and a sub-pin. In order to transmit the brake torque of the outer pad via the caliper and the main pin, the back plate of the outer pad and the caliper are engaged with each other by engaging a protrusion with a recess, wherein the engagement is conducted at a plurality of portions in the circumferential direction of the rotor, so that the brake torque can be transmitted from the outer pad to the caliper. The main pin is arranged on the rotor run-out side, so that a pushing anchor structure can be formed. A pair of guide pins and guide holes of the support member which engage with the pair of guide pins stride the rotor and extend exceeding a facing section where the rotor faces the outer pad. The main pin is arranged on the rotor run-out side. Brake torque on the outer pad side is transmitted by the protrusion and recess engaging section arranged on the rotor run-out side.

    • A disc brake of a guide pin type which comprises a boss member provided on one of a caliper of the disc brake and a support member fixed to a stationary portion of a vehicle, a guide pin slidably mounted in the boss member, the guide pin being fixed to the other one of the caliper and the support member, and a boot for damping and sealing the boss member. The boot is disposed between the boss member and the guide pin, the boot is formed of an elastic material, the boot is provided at one end thereof with a thickened portion and a seal portion. The thickened portion has an outer diameter substantially equal to an inner diameter of one end of the boss member, and the thickened portion being press-fitted in between the boss member and the guide pin. The seal portion is substantially tubular, the seal portion is formed integral with the boot, the seal portion is disposed radially outwardly of the thickened portion in surrounding relation to the thickened portion, and the seal portion is fitted on the outer surface of the boss member.
