A header is disposed adjacent the rear element of the frame member and an actuator bar for moving the card-like data processing medium out of engagement with the header is provided. An eject plate is moved by a link arm connected to the frame at a pivot point. The actuator bar is positioned below or above one of the longitudinal elements of the frame to significantly reduce the transverse dimension of the connector.

A lid (12) is pivotable from a closed position to a first fully open position where it retains itself open, and may be further pivotable beyond the first open position to a second fully open position where it similarly retains itself open. At least two tab sections (80) of the lid's rear wall (40) have free ends (82) that abut the enclosure's rear wall when the lid is pivoted open. Corners (84, 85) of the tab free ends (82) compressively bear against the enclosure's rear wall and serve as detents to inhibit unintentional lid rotation out of either fully open position.
