摘要： An I.V. infusion or blood collection apparatus comprises an I.V. infusion set (100) and a safety shield (200). The I.V. infusion set has a wing body (105) from which a pair of wings (140) extend outward there from and a grip (145) extending upward there from. One end of the wing body mounts a needle (120) or catheter and medical tubing (130) is connected to the opposite end. The wing body includes a bore so that fluid flows between the needle and the medical tubing. A safety shield has a top, a bottom and opposing side walls and defines a cavity (227) that is adapted to receive the I.V. infusion set. The safety shield has slots (250) in each of the side walls and a slot (255) in the top. The respective wings and grip are adapted to be positioned in the slots and to slidably move therein. The slot in the top includes a lock that is adapted to receive the grip so that when the needle is retracted into the cavity; the grip is permanently captured therein, thus locking the needle in the fully retracted safety position.

In still another aspect, a method includes sequentially generating a sequence of hash functions, where the weight vectors for any previously generated hash functions are used to identify constraints used to generate the weight vector for each next hash function in the sequence.

摘要： An energy efficient process for the preparation of marine microalgae Chlorella fatty acid methyl ester (CME) from hydrolysate of deoiled cake of Jatropha (JOCH) and crude glycerol co-product stream (GL7 and GL8) along with seawater diluted with tap water (1:2). A small part of the crude glycerol layer in case of JME is processed to recover glycerol for glycerol washing and the otherwise problematic still bottom is utilized for microbial synthesis of PHAs and the rest is utilized for Microalgal conversion of JME byproducts into CME. The remaining part of the methanol-depleted glycerol layer is utilized, along with hydrolysate of the Jatropha deoiled cake (JOCH), for single-stage Microalgal production of lipids by a marine Microalgal isolate (Chlorella sp.) without the need for any other nutrients. Waste streams from the microalgal processes can be discharged directly into agricultural fields as biofertilizer or recycled back in the mass cultivation.

摘要： A video demographics analysis system selects a training set of videos to use to correlate viewer demographics and video content data. The video demographics analysis system extracts demographic data from viewer profiles related to videos in the training set and creates a set of demographic distributions, and also extracts video data from videos in the training set. The video demographics analysis system correlates the viewer demographics with the video data of videos viewed by that viewer. Using the prediction model produced by the machine learning process, a new video about which there is no a priori knowledge can be associated with a predicted demographic distribution specifying probabilities of the video appealing to different types of people within a given demographic category, such as people of different ages within an age demographic category.
