    • A combination switch is provided with a movable knob and a contact assembly. The movable knob is rotatable with respect to a lever base and has a movable contact. The contact assembly includes a holder, a volume plate and a rivet. The holder has a bottom portion opposite to the movable contact, a cylinder portion projecting from the bottom portion and fixed to the lever base, and a terminal plate fixed within the bottom portion. The volume plate is disposed on the bottom portion of the holder, and has a fixed contact slidably in contact with the movable contact. The rivet fixes the volume plate on the bottom portion, and electrically connects the fixed contact with the terminal plate. As mentioned above, a reliability and an assembling characteristic are improved by assembling between the volume plate and the holder, and between the volume plate and the rivet.

    • A knob is attached to a distal end of a lever and has an approximately cylindrical knob body, a cap attached to a distal end of the knob body, and a metal-plated operating member attached to a side face of the knob body. The knob body has a pair of guiding protrusions that define a slit extending in an axial direction of the lever. The operating member includes a rib formed integrally therewith and a flange coupled to the rib approximately perpendicularly thereto. The flange is wider in width than the slit and engages the guiding protrusions due to insertion of the rib into the slit according to insertion of the operating member into the knob body in the axial direction.

    • A circuit board connector for improving the reliability in the electrical connection of a joint section between a circuit board and a terminal, includes a housing and a pair of flexible arms extending downwards in the housing and adapted to lock a connection terminal with the housing, a slit-like gap being provided between the two flexible arms, semi-ellipsoidal engagement protrusions being provided on the arms at positions where they are opposed to each other. The connection terminal has a substantially rhombic engagement hole which is to be engaged with the engagement protrusions. When the flexible arms in the housing undergo thermal expansion as a result of a rise in temperature, the engagement protrusions move downwards while remaining in abutment with oblique inner edges of the engagement hole, thereby absorbing dimensional changes of the housing. Thus, the terminal is not influenced by expansion/contraction of the housing, thereby ensuring a stable electrical connection without involving any damage to the joint section between the circuit board and the terminal.
