    • The device consists of two fluidized bed tables (2, 3) which can vibrate on their support, an can be inclined as desired, allowing a common airflow to pass through. An intermediate floor (17), shorter in length than the fluidized bed (2, 3) allows the evacuation and if necessary the regulation of a mixed fraction. In order to be able to remove a mixed fraction, with the easiest possible design, it is envisaged that the fluidized beds (2, 3) are arranged in a sturdy but movable frame (4), operated by a vibratory drive (5) with a vibratory movement directed towards the stone outlet (13) and that the intermediate floor (17) is tilted towards the bottom end of the lower fluidized bed (3).

    • The new invention proposes a new method and an apparatus for the preparation of cereal for milling. Before conditioning, the grain is cleaned in a first dry stage and a second moist or wet stage, and the main quantity of water is added before or during the second stage, the grain for the moist or wet cleaning being in intermediate storage for 1 to 120 minutes. Preferably a continuously operating scouring machine is used for the dry cleaning as well as for the moist or wet cleaning, the grain being forcibly conveyed from the inlet to the outlet by conveying means and processed by areas of noses arranged alternately with the conveying means, and the material abraded by the scouring is repeatedly separated out with the rotational movement of the rotor.

    • The invention relates to the dry cleaning of grain and discloses a new process and an apparatus. In the new process a deep layer of grain is formed on an upper screen, the holes of which are larger than the grain particles, and a compacting effect is produced in the bottom zone of the layer by vibratory forces. Sand particles sink into the layer compacting near the screen, and this layer drops completely--i.e. together with the sand particles--directly on to a second screen situated therebeneath. The sand passes through the bottom screen. The double screen is preferably preceded by a coarse screen. The apparatus is modular and comprises as separate modules a screen box, a head section containing the grain inlet and a tail section containing the outlets. A number of screen boxes of different sizes and head and tail sections of different sizes and arrangements may be provided to make it possible to supply a number of screening systems of different sizes. In the most advantageous construction, the head section and the tail section have adjustable or replacable flow guides to enable the product to be guided in different ways to and from the screens.

    • A separating contrivance for separating cereals and similar grain product into at least three grain fractions and heavier impurities comprises two air-penetrable fluidized bed tables (2, 3) arranged one over the other and supported in fashion capable of being oscillated in relation to a frame, with a product inlet (9) leading to the upper fluidized bed table. At one end of the contrivance, and spaced away from the inlet (9), the upper fluidized bed table (2) is provided with outlets (10, 18) for the light and medium heavy grain fractions, while the lower fluidized bed table (3) includes outlet (27) for the heavy grain fraction. Adjoining the other end of the lower fluidized bed table (3) is an outlet (16) for the heavy impurities such as stones and the like. In order to achieve a practically complete sorting of the heavy impurities, provision is made so that the two fluidized bed tables (2, 3) are supported independently of one another and are driven by separate oscillating drives (7, 25).
