    • A centrifugal separator includes a rotating centrifuge rotor having a casing which defines an inner separation space. A set of separation discs is provided in the inner separation space. The centrifugal separator includes a torque transmitting part connected to the centrifuge rotor. A drive motor drives the torque transmitting part for rotation of the centrifuge rotor. The drive motor has a first axial end turned towards the centrifuge rotor and a second axial end turned away from the centrifuge rotor. The centrifugal separator includes a stationary frame and a first bearing and a second bearing, which are connected to the frame. The torque transmitting part is rotatably journalled in the first bearing and the second bearing. The first bearing is provided between the drive motor and the centrifuge rotor. The second bearing is provided outside the second axial end of the drive motor.

    • A system includes a hermetic centrifugal separator, a recirculation system, a first monitoring system, a first control system, a pressure monitoring system, and a pressure control system. The separator includes a rotor, a separation chamber, an inlet channel for separating components, a first outlet channel for receiving separated light components, and a second outlet channel for receiving separated heavy components. The recirculation system recirculates the separated heavy components from the second outlet channel to the separation chamber. The first monitoring system monitors density and/or flow rate of the heavy components in the second outlet channel. The first control system controls flow rate in response to a control signal from the first monitoring system. The pressure monitoring system monitors pressure in the second outlet channel. The pressure control system controls a back pressure valve in the second outlet channel in response to a control signal from the pressure monitoring means.

    • The invention relates to a centrifugal separator for separation of at least two components of a fluid mixture which have different densities. The centrifugal separator comprises a rotor arranged for rotation about a vertical axis of rotation (R) and having a rotor wall which surrounds a separating chamber within the rotor, with an inlet adapted to feeding the fluid mixture into the rotor's separating chamber, and at least one outlet adapted to discharging outwardly from the rotor a component separated from the fluid mixture. A rotor shaft supports the rotor and is drivably connected to a motor (M) for rotation of the rotor about the axis of rotation (R). A hub is provided outside the rotor, and the hub and the rotor shaft are arranged to be connected together from the outside of the rotor by means of a lockable and releasable fastening which is configured to lock the rotor shaft relative to the hub in both a torque-transmitting and an axial force-transmitting way.

    • The invention refers to a centrifugal separator for centrifuging components contained in a liquid mixture and having different density. A rotating centrifuge rotor is arranged to rotate around a centre axis and comprises a casing defining an inner separation space. An inlet channel is provided for supply of the liquid mixture of components to be separated to the separation space. At least one outlet channel is connected to the separation space and provided for discharge of a component separated during operation. A torque transmitting part around the centre axis is fixedly connected to the centrifuge rotor. A drive motor drives the torque transmitting part and thus the centrifuge rotor in such a way that the centrifuge rotor is brought to rotate. The drive motor comprises a stator and a rotor, which is fixedly connected to the torque transmitting part. The rotor of the drive motor surrounds a cavity which is through-flown by liquid during operation. The drive motor is provided axially outside the centrifuge rotor.

An inlet channel provides fluid communication into the separation space and includes a rotary channel part, a frame channel part, and a first seal at the interface between the rotary and frame channel parts. An outlet channel provides fluid communication out from the separation space and includes a rotary channel part, a frame channel part, and a second seal at the interface between the rotary and frame channel parts. The inlet and outlet channels are arranged concentrically with each other. A forcing device is provided to generate a leak flow through one of the first and second seals in a first direction from the outlet channel to the inlet channel and to counteract leakage in the opposite direction.
