    • P-point transform analyzer using M N-point serial transform devices in parallel, the output signals therefrom being combined in K J-point serial transform devices in parallel, where M, N, K, and J are integers other than one such that M.times.N=K.times.J=P. Serial input signals are converted to M parallel sets of signals which are coupled to the N-point transform devices for processing in subgroups. The subgroups of output signals are combined into the proper order by switching the output signals from the N-point devices to the J-point devices after suitable delays and phase shifting.

    • A system comprising a moving radar, a processing device, and a phase difference determination device is used to monitor a target. The moving radar has first and second phase centers that transmit and receive signals normal to a direction of movement of the radar. The processing device receives first and second ones of the received signals from the first and second phase centers, respectively, and performs a target motion compensation and target acceleration correction for each of the first and second received signals to produce first and second images. The phase difference determination device determines a phase difference image from a comparison of the first and second images.

    • Conventionally, a shift register receives radar video return signals and es them into a signal processing and detecting means. Since continuous, large cross-section echoes such as those derived from land masses may saturate the processor, the present apparatus is set to blank such land masses. For this purpose, the shift register capacity is made coextensive with the continuous land mass echo and further, the register is provided with a series of taps spaced one from the other a distance representing selected increments of the range extent being tested. Each tap output is applied to an amplitude-thresholder to pass only higher strength echoes to a counter. Count-responsive means operating as a counter threshold control the radar signal processor to the extent that when the total count exceeds a certain number a processor "shut-off" signal is generated. When the count goes below the certain number a "turn-on" signal is generated. Thus, the processor is inactive when the count receives a predetermined total indicator of the large land mass to be blanked.
