摘要： A connector for electrically and mechanically joining a conductor to a communication cable sheath. Transversely arcuate, opposed members or arms with a row of pointed tangs on each longitudinal edge, are hingedly joined at one end. The other ends are adapted to be joined to clamp the cable sheath between the arms. At least one arm is elastic and longitudinally curved away from the other arm so that in use a compressive force is maintained even upon deformation of the cable sheath.

摘要： A compression sleeve for connecting and swaging cable has an outer housing having one or more passages therethrough for holding a cable having a sheath thereon. The passages have a series of teeth separated by blunt roots which extrudes and removes the sheath from the cable thereby swaging the sleeve to a metal portion of the cable. The sleeve can be pressed at a first central position such that the teeth engage the sheath of the cable. The sleeve can also be pressed at subsequent positions extending outwardly from the central position of the sleeve such that the teeth engage the sheath of the cable.

The device includes two operating members or blocks which are movable back and forth relative to each other in a substantially longitudinal direction. The operating members have gripping portions which coact with the wires to tension the wires upon reciprocal movement of the members. In one embodiment the wires are tensioned in one direction of movement of the members relative to each other and in another embodiment the wires are tensioned in both directions of movement of the members relative to each other.
