    • A cutter die has an upper body and a lower body having first and second cutting blades which encapsulate a rope. A first blade holder retains the upper body and a second blade holder retains the lower body.     • A hand held cable cutter has a first cutter half having a first cutting head with a first jaw having a first cutting blade formed on a first edge of the first jaw. A first pivot portion is formed in the head. A second cutter half has a second cutting head with a second jaw having a second cutting blade formed on a first edge of the second cutting blade. A second pivot portion is formed in the second head.     • A sleeve for terminating synthetic rope and coated wire rope has a body and a first channel, a second channel, and a third channel formed within the body. Each of the first, second, and third channels form a trilobular opening within the sleeve for receiving and crimping wire rope. The wire rope can have an eye splice formed at one end. A method of crimping the trilobular sleeve includes feeding the rope through the first channel of the trilobular sleeve, looping the rope through the second channel of the sleeve and then through the third channel of the trilobular sleeve, inserting the sleeve between upper and lower crimp dies, and pressing the sleeve between the dies, thereby crimping the sleeve to the rope.

A method for manufacturing the fastener assembly and a tool for use with the fastener assembly is also provided.

    • A compression sleeve for connecting and swaging cable has an outer housing having one or more passages therethrough for holding a cable having a sheath thereon. The passages have a series of teeth separated by blunt roots which extrudes and removes the sheath from the cable thereby swaging the sleeve to a metal portion of the cable. The sleeve can be pressed at a first central position such that the teeth engage the sheath of the cable. The sleeve can also be pressed at subsequent positions extending outwardly from the central position of the sleeve such that the teeth engage the sheath of the cable.
