摘要： Many linear alpha olefin (LAO) syntheses form a range of LAO products when oligomerizing ethylene in the presence of a Ziegler-type catalyst. The range of products typically requires a plurality of distillation columns to separate the LAO products up to a desired carbon count, but such approaches may be energy- and capital-intensive. LAO product separation using at least one dividing wall column may lessen these burdens. Methods for separating LAOs may comprise: providing a pre-processed product stream comprising Cg+ linear alpha olefins (LAOS) to a first of a series of distillation columns, at least one member of the series of distillation columns comprising a dividing wall column; and separating an overhead stream comprising a first LAO from the dividing wall column and one or more side streams from the dividing wall column, each side stream comprising a different LAO that also differs from the first LAO.

The startup may be further improved by controlling the inlet temperature of the hydrocarbon startup stream to the reactor, by controlling the flow of reactant olefins to the reactor, or by controlling the nature and/or concentration of the olefins in the reactor feed.

摘要： The presently disclosed subject matter relates to a peptide composition for non-covalently localizing fibrous connective tissue-inducing growth factor to a surface of an implant, the composition comprising a peptide having binding affinity for a surface material of an implant coupled to a peptide having binding affinity for a fibrous connective tissue-inducing growth factor. Methods are provided for delivering fibrous connective tissue-inducing growth factor GDF-7 in an amount effective to promote fibrous connective tissue repair and fibrous connective tissue formation. Also provided are methods of applying the peptide composition to an implant by contacting the composition with a surface of the implant; and kits comprising the compositions.

摘要： In the oligomerisation of olefins in a tubular reactor employing a molecular sieve catalyst, the temperature of the reaction is monitored and the space velocity of the olefin feed to the reactor is reduced as the temperature increases. This has been found to increase catalyst life and lead to extended production runs. Further extensions of the production run are achieved by improving reactor operating stability as the end of the production run approaches.

Provided is a biofunctional coating composition comprising at least one binding domain that has binding specificity for a metallic surface material of a medical device, and at least one binding domain that has binding specificity for cells of endothelial cell lineage. Methods for coating a metallic surface of a medical device, and for manufacturing of a medical device, comprise contacting the metallic surface to be coated with the biofunctional coating material in an amount effective to form a coating, and may further comprise contacting the coated surface with cells of endothelial cell lineage to bind the cells of endothelial cell lineage to the coated surface.
