    • An apparatus for shaping tubular films by wet process from a polymer liquid by passing a tubular film in a coagulating step through and in contact with a cylindrical opening or hole having concave grooves on its inside surface, successively a cylindrical net surrounded with a reduced pressure chamber providing a vacuum sealing means, a flattening means and pinch rollers, while inflating the tubular film and allowing a coagulant to come in contact with the tubular film. At least one stage of weirs is provided around the cylindrical net below the cylindrical hole to hold the descending coagulant. The coagulant is also supplied within the tubular film and retained above the pinch roller to a desired depth. The tubular film can be obtained steadily without any formation of wrinkles thereby.

    • A laminate is prepared from uniaxially stretched layers of film as warps and wefts by supplying a uniaxially stretched thin layer of film, cut to a desired length, continuously at a constant speed over a belt circulating at a speed higher than the layersupporting speed through a pinching-and-forwarding means provided in proximity to the circulating belt, while sucking the cut layer onto the belt by a negative pressure exerted below from the belt, subjecting the layer to frictional rubbing by sliding on the belt owing to a difference between the layer-supplying speed and the belt-circulating speed, placing the thin layer upon the belt by suction at the time when the rear end of the thin layer has passed through the pinching-and-forwarding means thereby to make the thin layer move at a speed equal to that of the belt, allowing successive thin layers, cut to the desired length, to be transferred onto the belt by suction at a distance corresponding to the difference between the layer-supplying speed and beltcirculating speed one by one, bringing the thin layer as wefts over a warped thin air-permeable layer of uniaxially stretched materials of film having cleavages as warps, the thin layer wefts being crossed over the thin layer warps, allowing the thin layer wefts to be placed upon the continuously running warps by drawing force exerted between the warps and wefts or pushing down from the belt towards warps forcibly immediately when the wefts are brought in a position where the length of wefts is over-lapped entirely with the width of warps, and placing the successive wefts upon the successive warps continuously without any substantial gaps by repetition of said steps.

    • A thin layer material having a large width can be wound up around a winding core by continuously supplying and inserting an elongated continuous yarn-like material, which traverses the thin layer material, in between one wound layer and another to leave a clearance along the inserted yarn-like material. Irregularities in thickness of the thin layer material are absorbed into the clearance, whereby a long length of wide thin layer material can be wound up into a cylindrical form of larger diameter. Further, by making a width to which the yarn-like material is extended, when supplied by reciprocatingly traversing the layer material, larger than the width of the wound thin layer material, and thus supplying the yarn-like material beyond both the edge parts of the thin layer material, the greater portion of thus supplied yarn-like material can be formed into almost wound at first and then arc chords at both the side faces of the wound cylindrical roll of the thin layer material, and the resulting chords cover the side surfaces of the woundup cylindrical roll of the layer material, whereby the side faces of the wound roll are protected through a large number of the yarn-like materials forming said arc chords, and at the same time, deformation, such as telescoping of the wound thin layer material can be prevented, even when loosely wound up and also the successive unwinding can be easily assured.
