    • A speakerphone system includes first and second speakerphones connected via a network and a first processor in the first speakerphone and a second processor in the second speakerphone, each of the speakerphones having a first, active, mode for participating in a call with a telephone and a second, idle, mode, wherein, when the first speakerphone is operating in the first mode and the second speakerphone is operating in the second mode, the first speakerphone is adapted to send voice data packets to the second speakerphone, the second speakerphone is adapted to receive voice data packets from the first speakerphone, perform echo cancellation processing on the voice data packets and send the processed voice data packets back to the first speakerphone, and the first speakerphone is adapted to receive the processed voice data packets from the second speakerphone and use the processed voice data packets in the call.

    • A system and method for investigating and mediating construction claims is presented. In exemplary embodiments of the present invention a construction claim can be mediated by fully investigating the details and context of a construction claim; determining the actual causes for the lack of payment; determining the key parties and the available leverage that can be used to achieve resolution; and engaging the key parties and applying that leverage to reach settlement, where one or more of said investigating, determining, engaging and applying is effected via electronic telecommunications or with the assistance of a computer. In exemplary embodiments of the present invention a computer-based system can assist a construction claim mediation practitioner in his application of the methods of the present invention to actual cases. Such assistance can include, for example, providing a practitioner with an organized computer-based environment in which to manage his cases, and can, for example, include prompting the practitioner to acquire the necessary information to implement the methods of the present invention, analyzing the case based on built-in intelligence and providing proposed strategies, automatically generating needed letters and emails to send out as well as checklists to help a practitioner stay on top of each case being handled.

    • A fuel sender assembly comprises an electric fuel pump held in a mounting plate which is, in turn, mounted in a fuel tank, such as an automotive fuel tank. The mounting plate includes a chamber wall that defines a pump chamber having an inboard end and an outboard end. The electric fuel pump is received in the pump chamber such that an inlet end, which includes a fuel inlet, is disposed within the fuel tank adjacent the inboard end of the pump chamber. The outlet end of the fuel pump includes the electrical terminals and is disposed adjacent the outboard end of the pump chamber so that the electrical terminals are accessible outside the fuel pump for connection to an external power source. A hermetic seal is formed between the fuel pump and the chamber wall to prevent vapors from escaping through the pump chamber. The fuel sender assembly permits electrical connections to be made to the fuel pump without requiring wires within the fuel tank.
