    • Provided is a suction catheter including: a catheter main body made of a flexible lengthy body having a lumen inside; a leading-end case portion positioned at a leading-end portion of the catheter main body and including an opening for retrieving an object; and object cutting means partially exposed through the opening and movable in the axial direction within the leading-end case portion. The object cutting means includes a cutting portion exposed through the opening portion, and a power receiving portion driving the cutting portion when receiving power from outside. A leading-end side of the suction catheter is inserted into a blood vessel while a base-end portion of the suction catheter is connected to a suction apparatus. An object sticking to the internal wall of the blood vessel is cut off by operating the object cutting means in the opening of the leading-end case portion while the lumen is vacuumed. The cut-off object is immediately sucked in and retrieved.

    • A medical instrument provides assistance in reinserting a gastrostoma tube easily. The instrument includes a searching bar and a fistula expander. A main body of the searching bar is a tubular body, a front end of the searching bar presents a hemispherical shape, and a side hole is defined near the front end. The fistula expander includes a funnel-shaped portion divided into two portions at a front end portion of the fistula expander, two grip bars secured to both sides of the funnel-shaped portion respectively, and a spring portion secured to rear ends of the grip bars. One may visually identify, and take photographs of, the location of the front end portion and/or side portion of the searching bar while light from an light source through optical fibers is radiated outwardly via a lens aperture or apertures in the front end and/or front end portion.

    • An aneurysm embolization device includes at least: a sac-shaped balloon dome part which is inserted into an aneurysm in a blood vessel, then expanded and left therein; and a balloon plane part which is provided at an opening of the balloon dome part and covers an aneurysm mouth part. The balloon plane part includes: a first hole and a second hole communicating with the inside and the outside of the balloon dome part, respectively. The balloon dome part includes a gap forming member which forms a non-contact region where, when the balloon dome part is expanded in the aneurysm, an outer surface of the balloon dome part does not come into contact with an inner surface of the aneurysm. When the aneurysm embolization device is placed and deployed in an aneurysm having a blood vessel branching therefrom, a gap is formed between the outer surface of the balloon dome part and the inner surface of the aneurysm. Thus, a treatment for the aneurysm can be carried out without occluding an entrance of the branched blood vessel.
