摘要： A system and method for bending a surgical rod using an automated bending system includes receiving an indication of a plurality of line segments defined on the rod and an indication of an angle measurement to be formed between at least two adjacent ones of the plurality of line segments. Bending parameters to perform on the rod to form the angle measurement between the at least two adjacent ones of the plurality of line segments are determined and operation of the automated bending system is controlled using the bending parameters to create an angle having the angle measurement between the at least two adjacent ones of the plurality of line segments.

The system includes a linear movement device configured to axially feed the surgical rod, a rotational movement device configured to rotate the surgical rod as it is axially fed, and a bending device including a roller to impose bending forces against the rod. The rod is free from contact with the bending device after it is axially fed past the roller.

摘要： The present invention concerns a system for utilizing radio frequency signals to dynamically determine the location of a medical device throughout a procedure and to improve navigation of the medical device. For these purposes, a plurality of RF receivers are mounted at operative locations in the operating room and operate on the same clock signal. The system also utilizes a diagnostic medical image such as an MRI, and overlays the position feedback signal on the image. This allows, for example, a surgeon to pick a desired spot on the diagnostic image, and then cause a robotic arm driven device to be moved to that particular spot inside the human body.

摘要： A spacer is described for placing onto a door panel to assist when connecting the door panel to a cabinet structure. The spacer includes gripping portions and a spacing portion. The gripping portions hold onto the door panel near an edge of the door panel when the spacer is placed onto the door panel. The spacing portion holds the gripping portions in alignment with each other and is held adjacent to the edge of the door panel when the gripping portions hold onto the door panel. When the edge of the door panel with the spacer placed thereon is held against the cabinet structure, the spacing portion causes a gap between the door panel and the cabinet structure, which enables a hinged connection to be made between the door panel and the cabinet structure with a spacing that allows the door panel to close against the cabinet structure after the spacer has been removed from the door panel.

摘要： A cannulated and possibly fenestrated device for injection of material into bone can be dangerous because large, uncontrolled pressures are introduced during injection into a somewhat closed system, and material may extrude undesirably or emboli may be introduced. Methods and devices are described for providing venting of pressure upon injection of material through cannulated and possibly fenestrated screws. The first method involves a bone screw and/or anchor device that includes multiple channels to allow material to flow in through one channel and out through another channel. The second method involves a plunger that can force material into bone if advanced or lessen pressure if withdrawn. The third method involves usage of two separate screws. Material is alternately injected or withdrawn from each screw to cause material to flow from one screw to the other in a controlled way that creates a uniform or asymmetrical distribution of material as desired.
