    • A silicone rubber composition that will be cured using as catalyst a platinum family metal and an organic peroxide, comprising as its constituent component an organosilizane compound represented by the following general formula:(R.sup.2).sub.3 SiNH(R.sup.3 R.sup.4 SiO).sub.n R.sup.3 R.sup.4 SiNHSi(R.sup.2).sub.3wherein R.sup.2 represents a substituted or unsubstituted monovalent hydrocarbon group, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4, which may be the same or different, each represent a hydrogen atom or a substituted or unsubstituted monovalent hydrocarbon group, and n is an integer of 2 to 20. Even if a large amount of a silica filler is blended in this silicone rubber composition, the silicone rubber composition is excellent in that it has suitable plasticity and is low in crepe hardening and good in workability such as rollability and extrudability.

    • A novel method is disclosed for the preparation of a (meth)acryloxyalkyl group-containing organopolysiloxane having a linear structure by the ring-opening siloxane rearrangement polymerization reaction of a (meth)acryloxyalkyl group-containing cyclic organopolysiloxane oligomer either alone or in combination with a cyclic organopolysiloxane oligomer having no (meth)acryloxyalkyl groups. Different from conventional acidic catalyst, the reaction can be promoted by the use of a cation-exchange resin in the H.sup.+ form which can be readily removed from the polymerization mixture after completion of the polymerization reaction leaving no acidic matter which influences on the stability of the product. The catalytic efficiency of the cation-exchange resin can be further enhanced when the resin is, prior to contacting with the cyclic organopolysiloxane oligomer(s), impregnated or swollen with a polar organic solvent such as tetrahydrofuran.

    • Outside air temperature detected by an outside air temperature sensor (13) is given to an outside air temperature memory (14), a comparator (15) and a fan volume control section (16), respectively. The fan volume control section (16) drives an outside fan motor (18) at a revolution speed determined by outside air temperature and revolution speed of a compressor. The outside air temperature memory (14) is activated in response to an operation start command to store the outside air temperature detected at the operation start therein. Further, a timer (17) is activated in response to the same operation start command, and a time-up signal (e.g., after 18 min has elapsed) is outputted from the timer to activate the comparator (15). The comparator (15) compares the outside air temperature detected at the operation start with that detected in response to the timer-up signal to check whether air short circuit occurs or not. In case of the air short circuit, the fan volume control section (16) outputs a detection signal of the short circuit to the outside fan motor ( 18), so that the outside fan motor (18) is driven at a speed higher than that determined under the ordinary conditions.

    • An improvement is proposed for an acrylic rubber composition to decrease the stickiness of the rubber composition under processing and shaped and vulcanized articles of the composition to a metallic surface with which the rubber article is kept in contact at an elevated temperature under compression as is the case in packings, gaskets and O-rings as automobile parts. The improvement can be obtained by compounding the rubber composition consisting of an acrylic rubbery polymer, which can be substituted by organosilicon groups, and a reinforcing filler with a limited amount of a specific diorganopolysiloxane, e.g., dimethyl polysiloxane, of which from 5 to 50% in number of the organic groups bonded to the silicon atoms are phenyl groups.
