    • A rise in temperature of magneto coils can be suppressed, thereby improving the electrical efficiency, service life and reliability thereof. A flywheel (3) has a cylindrical portion (4), and is rotatable about an axis of rotation A-A. A plurality of magnets (7) are mounted on an inner peripheral surface of the flywheel (3) so as to rotate therewith. A stator core (10) has a plurality of teeth (12) protruded outwardly in a diametral direction, and is disposed in opposition to the magnets (7). Conductive wires are wound around the teeth (12), respectively, to form magneto coils (11). The stator core (10) has a laminated core (15) formed of a plurality of magnetic sheet steel plates laminated one over another, and a pair of end plates (16, 17) disposed so as to sandwich opposite side surfaces of the laminated core (15). At least one of the pair of end plates (16, 17) is made of aluminum whose heat radiation is higher than the magnetic sheet steel plates.

    • A permanent-magnet generator is provided that has a bowl-shaped fly wheel integrally formed with a boss part by casting or hot forging, that reduces rotational imbalance and the quantity of balance correction processing such as drilling. The permanent-magnet generator has a bowl-shaped fly wheel produced by casting or hot forging, having a circumferential wall part and a bottom wall part, and having a boss part for supporting a rotating shaft, the boss part being integrally formed at the center of the bottom wall part. The plural vents are arranged substantially circularly in the bottom wall part of the fly wheel, and a key groove for coupling with the rotating shaft is provided at a part of the boss part. The arrangement of at least one of the plural vents is made unequal in order to reduce rotational imbalance including that caused by the key groove.

    • A stator of a magneto generator serves to make parts control easy and reduce the production cost. The stator includes a plurality of teeth each having a straight portion extending in a radially outer direction and a flange portion protruding in a circumferential direction from a tip end of the straight portion, and a magneto coil having a conductor wound around each of the teeth. The stator core includes a laminated iron core composed of a plurality of intermediate plates laminated one over another, and end plates arranged in intimate contact with opposite side surfaces of the laminated iron core. The intermediate plates and the end plates are formed of the same plate materials each having a flange segment. The end plates have a bent portion formed by bending the flange segment and serves to prevent the magneto coils from collapsing in the radially outer direction.
