    • A lamination type inductor has a plurality of ferrite sheets assembled one above the other and laminated together, the uppermost and lowermost sheets being end sheets having lead-out conductor patterns thereon and conductor patterns on the surfaces of the end sheets which face each other which are connected to the lead-out conductor patterns and which are for connection to conductor patterns on intermediate sheets, and a plurality of intermediate ferrite sheets, each having a conductor pattern on one surface thereof which corresponds to a 0.25 turn of an inductor coil and a conductor pattern on the other surface which corresponds to a 0.5 turn of an inductor coil, each ferrite sheet having an opening therethrough through which the conductor patterns of the 0.25 and 0.5 turn are electrically connected to form a 0.75 turn of an inductor coil on each ferrite sheet. The conductor patterns on the successive intermediate sheets are connected to each other for forming an inductor coil having a number of turns which is a multiple of 0.75, and the conductor patterns on the upper surface of the uppermost of the plurality of intermediate ferrite sheets and the lower surface of the lowermost of the intermediate ferrite sheets are electrically connected to the conductor patterns on the surfaces of the end sheets which face each other for forming with the lastmentioned conductor pattern a complete inductor coil.

    • The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a disk-shaped glass substrate for a magnetic recording medium, having a circular hole at the center thereof, the method including: a shape-forming step of performing shape forming to a glass substrate having a sheet shape; a polishing step of polishing a main surface of the glass substrate; and a cleaning step of cleaning the glass substrate, in which the polishing step includes a finish polishing step of simultaneously polishing both main surfaces of the glass substrate using a polishing slurry containing abrasives having an average particle diameter of 100 nm or less; and the glass substrate polished in the finish polishing step has a thickness deviation among glass substrates polished in the same lot of 1.5 μm or less.

    • A small-sized multilayer inductor having a greatly increased inductance value includes two thin-film coils with an insulation layer interposed therebetween, the coils being disposed on a coil-winding portion of a wound-core member. At positions opposing flanges of the wound-core member, two terminal electrodes for a first thin-film coil are respectively provided. To one of the two terminal electrodes, the starting end of the first thin-film coil is electrically connected via one connection opening while the finishing end of the first thin-film coil is electrically connected to the other terminal electrode via the other connection opening. Similarly, at positions opposing the flanges of the wound-core member, two terminal electrodes, which are electrically connected to a second thin-film coil, are respectively provided.

    • A miniature inductor used as a boosting coil in a piezoelectric buzzer drive circuit or the like is disclosed. The inductor has a closed magnetic circuit core formed of two cores covering the outer periphery of a coil wound around inner coil-cores. A pair of cutout windows are provided at the outer periphery of each of the cores, and joint plates are disposed on the inner bottom surface of one core. Terminal blocks project outwardly therefrom, so that the terminal blocks are adapted to be folded over each other. The end of each lead wire of the coil is guided through the cutout window and sandwiched between the folded terminal blocks, thereby connecting therewith.
