摘要： A vertical cavity surface emitting laser (VCSEL) is described using a sub-wavelength grating (SWG) structure that has a very broad reflection spectrum and very high reflectivity. The grating comprises segments of high and low refractive index materials with an index differential between the high and low index materials. By way of example, a SWG reflective structure is disposed over a low index cavity region and above another reflective layer (either SWG or DBR). In one embodiment, the SWG structure is movable, such as according to MEMS techniques, in relation to the opposing reflector to provide wavelength selective tuning. The SWG-VCSEL design is scalable to form the optical cavities for a range of SWG-VCSELs at different wavelengths, and wavelength ranges.

A method is provided for permitting packet based data transmission between a first client computer C1 protected by a first NAPT or NAT firewall and a second client computer C2 protected by a second NAPT or NAT firewall to traverse the first and the second firewalls. The method can also be applied to other devices, such as routers, using NAT or NAPT.

摘要： A mobile App using biometric encryption and decryption for privacy and security having both authentication and recognition functions. It utilizes the built-in camera of the mobile device to provide facial images for authentication purposes. It further includes a secured data communication system for conveniently sending and receiving data on the mobile devices. The secured data communication system also utilizes biometric encryption and decryption technology for granting permissions to access the data communication system. The biometric encryption is implemented by using a selective biometric feature and optimized biometric feature detection and tracking methods. Different biometric feature authentication methods are optimized for use on various mobile platforms, such as, Android, iOS, Windows and others. Data encryption and decryption are achieved by using selected biometric feature vectors as cryptographic keys. The biometric data encryption system further includes liveness detection module with anti-spoofing features to ensure the encryption and decryption processes only accept biometric features from a live person conveniently without the user's intervention. Alternative authentication method is provided if the biometric feature authentication module fails to recognize the valid user, or fails in the liveness detection module in order to maintain privacy and security of the data in the mobile device.

摘要： A scroll pump includes a pump housing, a drive shaft having a concentric shaft portion and an eccentric shaft portion connected to an orbiting scroll. The shaft is driven by a motor so that rotation of the shaft imparts an orbiting motion to the orbiting scroll relative to a fixed scroll for pumping fluid between a pump inlet and a pump outlet of the compressor. The fixed scroll has an opening through which the shaft extends and is connected to the orbiting scroll on an opposing side of the fixed scroll to the motor. An anti-rotation device is located in the high vacuum region for resisting rotation of the orbiting scroll and allowing said orbiting motion, and a bearing arrangement for supporting rotation of the concentric shaft portion and eccentric shaft portion is located in tile low vacuum region.
