    • A personal computer includes a main body having a stepped portion formed in a front portion of an upper surface of the main body. The stepped portion has a bottom surface lower in level than the upper surface. A keyboard is detachably placed in the stepped portion so that when a display rotatably mounted on the main body is rotated to its closed position, it is clamped between the display and the bottom surface of the stepped portion. The keyboard is arranged in such a manner that when it is removed from the stepped portion it is capable of being used by an operator. The keyboard is connected electrically to the electronic components in the main body and a storage portion is provided in the keyboard and the lid for storing the extensible cord. A circuit board is arranged in the main body to oppose the upper surface and has a holding portion for detachably holding a CPU. The main body has an opening formed in the bottom surface to allow access to the holding portion, and a lid detachably disposed on the bottom surface to close the opening.

    • An apparatus for fixing a platen includes a pair of parallel supporting plates, and a pair of fixing members fitted to end portions of a platen shaft supporting the platen. Each supporting plate has a round supporting hole and a guide hole extending from the supporting hole up to an upper end edge of the supporting plate and having a width smaller than the diameter of the supporting hole. Each fixing member includes a cylindrical body into which the end portion of the platen shaft is rotatably inserted, and an intermediate portion formed on the body and fitted into the supporting hole. An operating arm extends from the body, for rotating the fixing member between a fixed position where the intermediate portion is stably fitted in the supporting hole and a mounting position where the fixing member can be pulled out from the supporting hole through the guide hole. The fixing member is prevented from moving in the axial direction of the platen shaft by a flange formed on the body and a stepped portion formed on the end portion of the platen shaft. When the fixing member is moved to the fixed position, its rotation about the platen shaft is prevented by a projection formed on the operating arm and engaging an engaging hole formed in the supporting plate and a grip portion provided at the operating arm and being contact with the upper end edge of the supporting plate.

    • A bending order which provides a highest possible bending accuracy is determined. First a bending order generating section generates a plurality of bending orders possible for bending operation. Then, whether the bend angle of each bend can be measured in each generated bending order is checked by a measurement judging section. For each bend which has been determined as an objective bend "impossible to measure", a reference bend whose correction value for a die driving amount is to be used for calculating a correction value for the objective bend is set by a correction condition setting section. Weighting is carried out by a weight setting section based on the degree of the correlation between the processing factors of the objective bend and the processing factors of its associated reference bend, and the weights assigned to all the objective bends are summed by a weight sum computing section. Thereafter, a bending order selecting section evaluates the respective weight sums of the bending orders to select a suitable bending order and outputs the evaluation result to an NC device.

    • For starting bending of a workpiece, a provisional drive end for a ram is computed from information such as processing conditions for the workpiece input through a processing (condition input section and the relationship between the target bending angle for the workpiece and the springback angle of the workpiece stored in a springback data section. The ram is driven to the provisional drive end and then the bending angle of the workpiece is measured thereat by an angle measuring unit. Thereafter, a final drive end for the ram is obtained from (i) the measured bending angle, (ii) the relationship between the bending angle of the workpiece and the amount of driving the ram stored in a bending angle vs. driving amount data section, and (iii) the relationship between the target bending angle for the workpiece and the springback angle of the workpiece stored in a springback data section. The ram is driven to the final drive end thus obtained to complete the bending operation.
