摘要： A simplified and economical flat bar torsion spring suspension assembly for trailers or other vehicles which extends between two wheels of the vehicle and which comprises a flat torsion bar for each wheel, each end of the torsion bar being received in a sliding fit in a corresponding socket. A socket at the end of the torsion bar adjacent to the corresponding wheel is rotatably mounted in the a housing which can double as frame of the trailer, and the socket at the other end of the torsion bar is held against rotation by the frame. A radial arm is attached to the rotatable socket and the corresponding wheel of the vehicle is mounted on the end of the radial arm. In the embodiments to be described, the housing for the suspension assembly can be used as the frame of the vehicle or merely a convenient package for ease of attachment and containment of a possibly cumbersome assembly.

摘要： A universal light bracket is provided for mounting tail lights on a wide variety of vehicles, such as motor cars; boats; utility, boat, car, horse trailers, and the like. The light bracket forms a housing for enclosing and protecting the tail light, and the housing has an open inner side with a flange extending along the length thereof to enable the bracket to be bolted or welded to the adjacent surface of the vehicle. The housing formed by the bracket has an open front, with a peripheral flange to permit the tail light to be mounted in the housing and to be visible through the open front. Because of its shape, the housing may conveniently be formed of a metal stamping, or of plastic.

The mount in one embodiment includes two separate brackets, each having a gusset-like configuration; the brackets being welded or bolted to the tongue in position such that the forward edges of a pair of upright sides of each of the brackets engages the jack in essentially diametrically opposite relationship to the jack. These edges are welded to the jack, and the resulting assembly provides a rugged, rigid, strong and simple mount for the jack. In a second embodiment the mount is formed of a single piece.
