摘要： A medical monitoring device for analysis of a set of physiologic and laboratory data and for providing a real time or near real time correlation metric for a distress condition is described herein. The medical monitoring device can include a memory storage that comprises a first set of definitions of rise and fall patterns of said physiologic and laboratory data, each of the rise and fall patterns being indicative of a physiological occurrence, a second set of definitions of time series matrix patterns of said rise and fall patterns, the time series matrix patterns being indicative of a distress condition, and a pre-determined correlation metric for each of at least a portion of the time series matrix patterns with reference to the distress condition. The medical monitoring device can also include a monitor to identify the time series matrix patterns in data in memory storage.

One example of a processor-based method comprises accessing data representative of a time series of at least one component of a timed waveform corresponding to a pulse, and searching the data for an occurrence of a cluster of variations induced by at least one of an apnea cluster and a hypopnea cluster. 摘要： An improved luer lock receiving septum having a configuration which provides rapid and tight resealing and yet allows penetration of the septum by the luer tip with a low penetration force. The elongated septum includes an upper portion of enlarged diameter having a target surface, a central slit, and a central, lower septum extension projecting about the slit below the upper portion and into a housing so that following luer insertion there is provided sufficient room for both the laterally displaced extension of the septum, the luer taper, and the housing to be received into a conventional luer lock connector. The septum is further preferably configured to minimize or eliminate the negative pressure deflection normally associated with the withdrawal of the large diameter luer cannula from an enclosed fluid filled lumen or chamber, by substantially isolating the lumen or chamber from the septum material displacement resultant from luer insertion. In an exemplary embodiment, the luer receiving septum is provided at a port of an air evacuated blood collector.

In some examples, the system includes a processor programmed to analyze data comprising the concentration, the concentration having a reference range and define a range of perturbed concentration values which is outside the reference range. The processor can also be programmed to divide the range of perturbed concentration values into sequential sub-ranges comprising at least a first sub-range of concentration values and a second sub-range of concentration values, the second sub-range being further away from the reference range than the first sub-range and assign quanta to each sub-range such that the number of quanta assigned to a sub range far away from the reference range is greater than the number of quanta assigned to a sub-range close to the reference range.

A display processor that provides a visual display of time dimensioned output of the severity of the dynamic patterns and a visual display of the sensitivity, specificity, therapeutic delay, and/or the correlation metric in real-time or near real-time.
