摘要： An actionable communication resource forming function performs a method for forming an actionable communication resource in a communication system. The method includes receiving, from a resource management system, a plurality of resource identifiers that identify a plurality of resources, wherein each resource is associated with a communication device addressable by a communication system using a communication device identifier; for each resource identifier, determining the communication device identifier for the associated communication device; for each communication device identifier, identifying a communication group to which the corresponding communication device is affiliated, and using the identified communication groups to determine a set of communication groups, wherein each communication group in the set is addressable by the communication system, wherein an actionable communication resource is formed from the set of communication groups to facilitate communications with the communication devices over the communication system using the addressable communication groups.

摘要： A method for identifying and conveying a role of a first user relative to a second user in a communication comprises using a communication server to determine an identity of the first user, determine an identity of the second user, determine a relationship between the first user and the second user, determine an associated role with the first user relative to the relationship between the first user and the second user, and convey the associated role of the first user relative to the relationship to the second user. The communication server receives an indication that a communication between the users is initiated. The communication server and/or a source are configured for tracking one or more of the identities, relationships, and roles of the first and second users. Each user may have a plurality of roles and the identity and roles may by fixed or dynamically assigned.

摘要： A calling communication unit (210) transmits a dispatch communication request to a communication infrastructure (202). The dispatch communication request includes at least a dispatch identification of a called communication unit (e.g., 216). In response to the dispatch communication request, the calling communication unit receives from the communication infrastructure a telephone number associated with a voice mail server (222) that provides voice mail service to the called communication unit and an identification of a mailbox at the voice mail server. The calling communication unit then transmits to the voice mail server the identification of the mailbox and a voice communication. Finally, the voice mail server stores the voice communication in the mailbox.

摘要： An actionable communication resource forming function performs a method for forming an actionable communication resource in a communication system. 摘要： In a communication system network, an operator station, for a particular communication group, may select communication systems wherein a communication group service will be performed for the particular communication group. This is accomplished when the operator station selects, for the particular communication group, the group service to be performed and which communication systems the service is to be performed in. Once these parameters are selected, the operator station transmits them to the central controller which determines whether at least one communication unit of the particular communication group is registered in the selected communication systems. When at least one communication unit of the particular communication group is registered in the selected communication systems, the central controller allocates a communication resource in the selected communication system to the operator when a communication resource is available such that the selected communication group service can be performed.
