摘要： Provided are method and apparatus for transmitting and receiving a multimedia streaming service via a network. The method of providing a multimedia streaming service includes: dividing encoded data of a video including at least one of a two-dimensional (2D) video and a three-dimensional (3D) video into fragments; determining at least one of 3D signaling information for each fragment and relationship information to be used when the video refers to other videos; and continuously transmitting the fragments including the property information regarding the fragments and encoded video data.

摘要： Methods and apparatuses for efficiently coding and decoding multi-view video are provided. A method of decoding multi-view video includes: interpreting a first picture type indicating whether a current picture of the multi-view video is a reference video type for inter prediction; interpreting a block type indicating a method of determining a motion vector of a current block of the current picture; interpreting a chrominance compensation value of the current block based on at least one of the interpreted first picture type and the interpreted block type; and performing chrominance compensation on the current block by using the interpreted chrominance compensation value.

摘要： A pixel-based video encoding apparatus includes a block prediction unit, a residual image generation unit, a pixel prediction unit, and an entropy-coding unit. The block prediction unit performs temporal or spatial prediction between a reference image and a current image in order to generate a prediction block corresponding to a current block to be encoded. The residual image generation unit generates a residual image block composed of a residual signal corresponding to a difference between pixels of the prediction block and pixels of the current block. The pixel prediction unit determines whether to apply differential pulse coded modulation to each of pixels of the residual image block based on a rate distortion optimization value. The entropy-coding unit performs entropy-coding on the residual image block.

The water ring scanning apparatus is configured to write a portion of data from the initial data set into a data string. The initial data set is organized with at least one initial origin enveloped by a plurality of nested initial environs successively surrounding each other in the initial data set. The scanner is configured to write a portion of the data from the initial data set into the data string by starting at the RC grouping corresponding to the initial origin (initial water ring (0)) and by sequentially progressing outwardly from the family of RC groupings corresponding to the nearest nested initial environ (initial water ring (1)) towards the family of RC groupings corresponding to a furthest nested initial environ (initial water ring (n)).

The transcoding method between first and second codecs each including a deblocking filter, may include decoding input data encoded according to the first codec, according to the first codec so as to generate decoded data; and encoding the decoded data according to the second codec. 摘要： Provided is a method for performing motion compensated temporal filtering (MCTF)-based coding on a video sequence using the structure of adaptively divided group of pictures (GOP). The method includes the steps of, for each predefined 2N frame-sized group of pictures (GOP) of the video sequence, (a) encoding the 2N frame-sized GOP of the video sequence based on each of the different GOP sizes from the maximum size, 2N, to the minimum size, 2N (M is an integer between 1 and N) and obtaining different values between frames reconstructed after the encoding is performed and frames after the MCTF is performed, based on each of the different GOP sizes; (b) selecting at least one sub-GOP based on the difference values obtained by encoding the 2N frame-sized GOP of the video sequence based on each of the different GOP sizes; and (c) generating a bitstream by encoding the 2N-frame-sized GOP based on the at least one selected sub-GOP. Thereby, the MCTF-based video coding is performed by adaptively dividing the GOP size based on performance and thereby obtains high coding efficiency.
