    • To offer a resin material in which various properties such as excellent appearance and rigidity inherent to a polyacetal resin are maintained and a weather (light) resistance is improved. That is, a branched polyacetal resin composition comprising 100 parts by weight of a branched polyacetal copolymer (A) having an oxymethylene group as the main repeating unit and having a branching unit represented by the following formula (I), 0.01 to 5 parts by weight of a weather (light) resistant stabilizer (B) and 0.01 to 5 parts by weight of a hindered amine substance (C): wherein m and n each is an integer of 0 to 5; the sum of m+n is 1 to 5; and R is a monovalent organic group having a molecular weight of 40 to 1000.

    • A modified polyester resin is the reaction product of:(A) an acid component mainly comprised of terephthalic acid, 2,6-naphthalene dicarboxylic acid or a lower alcohol ester thereof,(B) a diol component mainly comprising an alkylene glycol having 2 to 8 carbon atoms, and(C) an aromatic sulfonic acid compound of the following general formula (1):HO(RO).sub.n --Ar--SO.sub.3 M (1) where Ar represents a benzene or naphthale ring, n represents an integer from 1 to 10, R represents a group selected from among alkylenes having 2 or 3 carbon atoms and when n is 2 or more, R may be the same as or different from one another, and M represents an alkali metal selected from lithium, sodium and potassium. The modified polyester resin also satisfies the following formulas (2) and (3):0.25.ltoreq.x.ltoreq.100 (meq/kg) (2)2.ltoreq.(x/CEG).times.100.ltoreq.150 (%) (3) where x represents the amount of the aromatic sulfonic acid compound represented by the above general formula (1) introduced thereinto and CEG represents the amount of the carboxy end groups, and x and CEG are each expressed in millequivalent per kilogram (meq/kg) of the polymer.

    • The present invention provides a polyacetal resin composition having excellent processability and stability, significantly suppressing the amount of formaldehyde generated from the molded article thereof, and preventing the bleeding of blending components. Specifically, to 100 parts by weight of (A) a polyacetal copolymer in which the amount of hemiformal terminal group is 1.0 mmol/kg or less, the amount of formyl terminal group is 0.5 mmol/kg or less, and the amount of unstable terminal group is 0.5% by weight or less, there are added: 0.01 to 3 parts by weight of (B) a hindered phenol-based antioxidant; 0.01 to 1 part by weight of (C) a hydrazide compound; and 0.01 to 1 part by weight of a compound selected from (D) an isocyanate compound, an isothiocyanate compound, and a modified compound thereof.

    • A polyacetal resin composition having high rigidity and also excellent in dimensional stability and creep characteristics is provided.     • Polyester resins are prepared by reacting a lower alkyl ester of an aromatic dicarboxylic acid with an aliphatic diol to form an aromatic polyester, and which includes (i) subjecting to transesterification reaction conditions in the presence of a titanium compound catalyst a transesterification reaction system having the lower alkyl ester of the aromatic dicarboxylic acid, the aliphatic and between 0.02 to 5.0 mole percent, based on the amount of the lower alkyl ester of the aromatic dicarboxylic acid, of an aromatic sulfonic acid compound represented by the following general formula (I):OH--R--O--Ar--SO.sub.3 M (I)wherein Ar is a p-substituted benzene group or a 2,6-substituted naphthalene group, R is a divalent group selected from among --CH.sub.2 CH(CH.sub.3)--, --CH(CH.sub.3)CH.sub.2 --, --CH.sub.2 CH(CH.sub.3)-- and --CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 OCH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 --, and M is an alkali metal selected from the group consisting of lithium, sodium and potassium.
