摘要： A method of and apparatus for producing a plurality of powder compositions, both stoichiometric and non-stoichiometric, is disclosed. The method includes the steps of introducing a plurality of materials into a particle production system under a first set of operating parameters, introducing the plurality of materials into the particle production system under a second set of operating parameters wherein at least one operating parameter of the first set is changed to form the second set, and sampling at least a portion of an output mixture representative of each of the first set of operating conditions and the second set of operating conditions. The apparatus includes a reactor, dispensing devices for supplying materials to the reactor, and other structures. The apparatus is preferably configurable via modification of operating parameters to produce a range of possible compositions for a given plurality of input materials.

摘要： An improved faucet control system for reducing water and energy usage in manual washing operations. The faucet control system has a foot pedal that controls the flow of water without the need of operating the faucet. The foot pedal, upon alternate activations, reverses the polarity of an electrical output pulse to the at least one latching solenoid valve, whereby flow through the faucet is controlled in an on/off fashion. At least one battery is present as a power supply and the system consists of at least one latching solenoid valve in at least one faucet supply line.

摘要： To gain a better understanding of brain tumor angiogenesis, new techniques for isolating brain endothelial cells (ECs) and evaluating gene expression patterns were developed. When transcripts from brain ECs derived from normal and malignant colorectal tissues were compared with transcripts from non-endothelial cells, genes predominantly expressed in the endothelium were identified. Comparison between normal- and tumor-derived endothelium revealed genes that were specifically elevated in tumor-associated brain endothelium. These results confirm that neoplastic and normal endothelium in human brains are distinct at the molecular level, and have significant implications for the development of anti-angiogenic therapies in the future.

摘要： A test system couples various ports of one or more CPE devices to components mounted in a rigid mounting system. The system can test the line card portion of the CPE devices coupled to line card interface equipment for various parameters. Variable RF attenuation in RF interface equipment can adjust power levels to/from the RF port of the CPE devices to account for close proximity and variations between different vendors and models, which are coupled via the RF interface equipment to an included CMTS. Network interface equipment tests network port performance of the CPE devices by coupling a general purpose computer thereto. Switching one of a plurality of CPE devices to be the only one tested at a time and switching an addition RENLOAD is controlled by a provisioning server based on criteria including information in a database of various parameters of the particular device being tested.
