    • An electronic module and method for updating an electronic device wherein the electronic module is connected to a circuit board having one or more memory interfaces which may be embodied as processors in the electronic device. One or more semiconductor devices electrically communicate with an electrical circuit within the module. A programmable memory device including non-volatile memory electrically communicates with the electrical circuit of the electronic module. The programmable memory device includes a program having code saved therein. The code defines a multiplicity of functions for the electronic module for communication between the electronic module and a memory interface or processor of the electronic device. Electrical connection elements are attached to a substrate on a bottom side of the electronic module for electrically connecting the electrical circuit of the electronic module to the circuit board for communication between the programmable memory device and the memory interface or processor.

    • The present invention is directed to an adjustable seat occupant support assembly for a seat, such as a vehicle seat, which employs a drive equipped with an arm that bears against an adjuster shoe that urges part of a seat cushion of a backrest of a vehicle seat outwardly or inwardly. The adjustable support assembly is received in part of a molded seat shell that is three dimensionally formed to accommodate at least part of the lumbar adjuster drive. In a preferred embodiment, the shell has a molded drive-receiving compartment that can include a cradle that supports a drive received in the compartment. One or more integrally molded bearing support surfaces, including journals, can be formed in the shell upon which part of the drive can be movably supported. A drive actuator is provided that is also carried by an aperture or the like molded into the shell.

    • Provided is a pet waste receptacle including an outer frame and an inner compartment. Positioned within the frame are one or more removable trays having a liquid permeable base. The trays rest atop the inner compartment, and retain a pet attractable cover layer material that allows liquid waste to flow through the liquid permeable base and into the inner compartment. The inner compartment, or a box placed within the compartment, contains a liquid waste absorbing material. The trays may include one or more handles for removing the trays. Further, a support structure and cover may be attached to the outer frame to protect the receptacle from adverse weather. Side and end panels may also be attached to the support structure to partially enclose the receptacle.

    • A computer system monitors a variety of conditions indicating levels to which different components, services and resources are being utilized, and based on these levels, determines a measure of overall system utilization. By way of example, the conditions are CPU utilizations dispatcher queue length, number of active users, number of users in an I/O wait queue and the paging rate. The system determines and repeatedly updates a data value for each of the conditions representing a respective amount of utilization. Then, the system determines a weighted summation based on the latest update of the data values and a significance of each of the data values in indicating system utilization. Next, the system compares the weighted summation to two or more thresholds, and determines and performs an action based on the comparison of the weighted summation to the thresholds. The system determines and performs a relatively severe action when the weighted summation exceeds the greatest of the thresholds and a relatively moderate action when the weighted summation is less than the greatest of the thresholds but greater than least one other of the thresholds. Thus, the action is commensurate with the overall utilization of the computer system.
