摘要： An image forming apparatus includes a drum cartridge supporting member supporting a plurality of drum cartridges having photosensitive drums. The drum cartridge supporting member is movable between first and second positions inside and outside a main assembly of the image forming apparatus. A guide portion guides a plurality of developing cartridges having developing rollers for developing electrostatic latent images formed on the corresponding photosensitive drums. The guide portion individually guides the developing cartridges to and from the main assembly. A moving mechanism moves the developing cartridges mounted in the main assembly between a developing position in which the electrostatic latent images are to be developed and a retracted position in which the developing cartridges are retracted from the developing position. When the developing cartridges are in the retracted position, the drum cartridge supporting member is permitted to move between the first and second positions.
