    • Provided is a library device configured to comprise a magazine capable of containing a plurality of cartridges and a housing capable of containing the magazine in a two-tier manner, wherein: the housing is provided, in its inside, with an accessor comprising a picker unit for holding the cartridge and a base unit for moving the picker unit in the direction of insertion and drawing of the magazine and in the direction of tier arrangement; the magazine has a step member with a step formed therein; the housing has a locking member comprising a stopper part, which is disposed in a rotatable manner and positioned to abut the step, and a releasing part, and the housing has also a biasing member for biasing the stopper part in the direction of the step member; and, in accordance with movement of the picker and base units in the direction of drawing the magazine and movement of said picker unit in the direction of magazine-tier arrangement, unlocking of the upper-tier magazine, that of the lower-tier magazine or that of both of the magazines contained respectively in the upper and lower tiers is performed.

    • Objects of the present invention are the provision of an active energy ray curable composition which can be cured in the absence of a photoinitiator, and which can also be cured at practical light intensities and irradiating energy, and a method for curing the said curable composition; in which the composition comprises a maleimide derivative represented by formula (1): wherein m and n each represent an integer of 1 to 5, and the total of m and n is 6 or smaller, R11 and R12 each represent a linking group selected from the group consisting of {circle around (1)} an alkylene group, {circle around (2)} an alicyclic group, {circle around (3)} an arylalkylene group, and {circle around (4)} a cycloalkylalkyene group, G1 and G2 each represent an ester linkage selected from the group consisting of —COO— and —OCO—, R2 represents a linking chain having an average molecular weight of 100 to 100,000 selected from the group consisting of (A) a (poly)ether linking chain and (B) a (poly)ester linking chain, in which at least one organic group selected from the group consisting of {circle around (1)} a straight chain alkylene group, {circle around (2)} a branched alkylene group, {circle around (3)} an alkylene group having a hydroxyl group, {circle around (4)} an alicyclic group, {circle around (5)} an aryl group, and {circle around (6)} an arylalkylene group is connected via at least one linkage selected from the group consisting of (a) an ether linkage and (b) an ester linkage.

    • A hydrostatic bearing apparatus comprises a base member having a static pressure guide surface to which a static pressure pocket is formed, a temperature detector for detecting a temperature of an operation oil in the static pressure pocket at an outlet portion thereof and generating a signal representing the detected outlet temperature of the operation oil, a temperature controller for controlling a temperature of the operation oil to be supplied in the static pressure pocket in response to the signal from the temperature detector, and a pressure controller for controlling a pressure in the static pressure pocket by controlling a flow rate of the operation oil supplied to the static pressure pocket. An operation oil source storing the operation oil to be supplied to the static pressure pocket is further disposed. A gap between the static pressure guide surface and a member to be supported of the hydrostatic bearing apparatus is maintained always constant in accordance with the control of the operation oil temperature and the operation oil pressure.
