摘要： A twin belt continuous casting machine for producing thin slabs includes a pair of belts and a pair of edge dams for forming a metal pool, which are movable in the transverse direction of the belt. A plurality of cooling/heating chambers partitioned in the transverse direction of the belt are provided on the rear surface of the belt in the vicinity of respective side end portions of the belts. A plurality of supporting members which are capable of pressing the rear surface of the belt are respectively provided in the plurality of cooling/heating chambers. The movement of the edge dams is synchronized with the operation of the plurality of supporting members. A fluid introduced into each of the cooling/heating chambers is changed into a heating fluid or a cooling fluid in synchronism with the movement of the edge dams.

A motor driving circuit causes currents to flow in the phases of the motor in accordance with motor driving signals respectively related to the phases in a state in which a selected power supply voltage output by the selecting circuit is applied to one or more phases. A switching unit generates the selecting signal on the basis of the motor driving signals and a voltage signal corresponding to a current flowing through at least one of the phases of the motor so that the second power supply voltage is selected first and the first power supply voltage is selected second with respect to each of the phases.

摘要： An injection apparatus for a high-speed type thin plate continuous casting machine comprises linear motors (3A, 3B) interposing long sides of a flat nozzle (3), a power source unit for applying predetermined currents having a predetermined frequency to the linear motors (3A, 3B), and linear motor power factor improving capacitors (21) connected between the linear motors (3A, 3B) and the power source unit. A material on the inner walls of the short sides of the flat nozzle (3) is a conductive material to improve an edge effect, additionally, the apparatus is constructed to use a heating operation of the linear motor in heating the nozzle or a molten metal in the nozzle by adequately controlling a frequency or a current of a power supplied to the linear motors.
