摘要： A process for making granular solids involving: (a) providing a substantially anhydrous preparation, which is solid at room temperature and contain at least one cosmetic feed material; (b) liquifying the substantially anhydrous preparation to form a melt; (c) providing a vibrating casting plate used for droplet formation; (d) introducing the melt onto the vibrating casting plate to form melt droplets thereon; (e) providing a cooling medium; and (f) contacting the melt droplets with the cooling medium which is passed countercurrently to the melt droplets, thus forming the granular solids, and wherein the granular solids have a monodisperse particle size distribution and are substantially free of particles having a diameter of less than 0.3 mm.

摘要： Surfactant mixtures comprising (a) a nonionic surfactant mixture present in an amount greater than 60% by weight, based on the weight of the surfactant mixture, the nonionic surfactant mixture comprising: (i) at least one alk(en)yl oligoglycoside of the general formula (I), R1O—[G]p (I) wherein R1 represents an alk(en)yl radical having from 4 to 22 carbon atoms, G represents a sugar radical having 5 or 6 carbon atoms and p represents a number from 1 to 10; and (ii) at least one nonionic surfactant of the general formula (II) R2O(CH2CHRO)xH (II) wherein x represents a number of from 1 to 30, each R independently represents a substituent selected from the group consisting of a hydrogen, a methyl group and an ethyl group, and R2 represents a linear alkyl radical having from 16 to 22 carbon atoms; and (b) up to 6% by weight, based on the weight of the surfactant mixture, of one or more anionic surfactants; are described. Additional mixtures further comprising additional alcohol alkoxylates are also described. Solid laundry detergent compositions comprising such surfactant mixtures are described as well.

摘要： A water-free surfactant composition is presented having (a) a fatty alcohol sulfate corresponding to the formula R1O—SO3X where R1 is a linear alkyl chain containing 16 or 18 carbon atoms and X is an alkali metal, alkaline earth metal, ammonium, alkylammonium, alkanolammonium or glucammonium and (b) an alcohol sulfate corresponding to the formula R2O—SO3X where R2 is an alkyl chain containing 12 to 15 carbon atoms consisting of a minimum 20 percent by weight branched alkyl chains and a maximum 80 percent by weight unbranched alkyl chains, and X is an alkali metal or alkaline earth metal, ammonium, alkylammonium, alkanolammonium or glucammonium. The surfactant composition has a reduced potential for irritation and good flowability and solubility in cold water. The surfactant composition is useful in laundry detergents, dishwashing detergents and other cleaners.

In spite of the branched chain, such acids can be esterified very rapidly, the resulting esters being suitable for use as lubricants.
