    • A fixing device for position regulating mechanisms for external rear-view mirrors for motor vehicles, applicable to external rear-view mirrors of the type which are comprised of a support (1), attached to which is a housing (6) which encases or is part of the aforementioned position regulating mechanism (2), to which a mirror support plate is affixed, it being possible to operate the same, manually or electrically, from the interior of the vehicle. The support (1) comprises elastic pressure exertion means (4) comprising a portion of the base (5) arranged on the support (1) and are provided with at least one tab (7), which pressure exertion means (4) are intended to withstand the pressure of the housing of the regulating mechanism when the latter is attached to the support by means of the fixing means, said pressure means being elastically distorted in such a way that they exert an effort force on the housing against the fixing means.

    • The invention relates to a frame comprising a vibration-damping device, which is intended for the outside rear-view mirror assembly of a motor vehicle. According to the invention, a moving plate bearing a mirror is connected to the inventive frame by means of a knuckle-type joint. Optionally, a case is installed on the frame in order to house a position-adjustment mechanism which is connected to the moving plate and which is actuated in order to vary the position of the plate in relation to two co-ordinate axes. According to the invention, a tab, which projects out from part of the moving plate opposite the frame, is pressed such that it can slide through a damping arrangement comprising a pair of elastic arms which form part of the frame and which extend therefrom. The aforementioned elastic arms are arranged in the form of a clamp in order to form a pressure contact against the opposing faces of the tab.

    • A system for welding work pieces together comprises a support assembly configured to permit movement of an end effector assembly throughout a range of operating positions, and an end effector assembly comprising a platform arm pivotally coupled to the support assembly. Radial and longitudinal slide assemblies are coupled between the platform arm and a platform. A rotary actuator is mounted on the platform. A torch arm is coupled to the rotary actuator and extends along an axis of rotation of the rotary actuator. The torch arm has a torch holder at an end thereof configured to hold a welding torch. The rotary actuator can selectively twist the torch arm such that the welding torch undergoes a weaving motion. The system may be operated fully automatically under control of a controller, or in a hybrid mode wherein real time user intervention is permitted to adjust motion and/or operation of the torch.

    • The invention relates to a vehicle exterior rear-view mirror including a casing or chassis with a neck to which an adaptor is mated. The adaptor has an abutment surface adapted to abut against a support sheet element associated to an outer panel of the vehicle. The support sheet element has an opening aligned with respective passages of the casing and the adaptor, respectively. A coupling stem is installed through the passages with the possibility of rotation and axial movement. Anchor configurations are formed at a lower end of the stem, the configurations engaging portions of the lower face of the support sheet element adjacent to the opening. An elastic element is arranged between the casing and the stem to push the stem inwards the casing or chassis.
