    • Disclosed is a device for boring holes in ice having a vertical boring position and a horizontal carrying position. The device is comprised of a drive unit with an output, a rotatable shank portion and auger portion coupled to the output. A non-driven grasping portion is connected to the drive unit and configured such that the device has a balance point at the grasping portion whereby the device may be carried in a balanced horizontal position with one hand. In a preferred embodiment a hollow cylindrical portion with a flange attaches to the drive unit and the shank portion extends through the cylindrical portion and is coupled to the out in the cylindrical portion. The grasping portion may either be the cylindrical portion or a separate bar portion attached to the cylindrical portions.

    • A control for a window operator is operable to control incremental movement of a window. The control includes means for developing a command to selectively move the window in a direction to an open or closed position, and means for determining when a plurality of motor drives have moved the window a preselected incremental distance. Means are coupled to the developing means and the determining means for energizing each of the motor drives if a command is developed, until the motor drives have moved the window the preselected incremental distance and thereafter deenergizing the motor drives until another command is received to move the window a subsequent incremental distance in the selected direction.

    • The invention relates to a very light weight portable single stage snow remover which is electrically powered, can be operated and manipulated in a sideways swinging fashion in the manner of a broom, can handle normally difficult areas to clean such as steps and patios, can conveniently and easily be used in larger areas such as driveways and sidewalks, and can be pushed forward along the surface to be cleaned without having to swing the unit when forward movement is more desirable than sideward movement. The snow remover comprises a bladed rotor which operates within a housing and is rotated by an electric motor, the blades of the rotor throwing the snow rearwardly and upwardly against a snow collecting and directing wall which projects the snow in the direction desired. There is a direct drive relationship between the rotor and the motor and the entire motor-rotor housing is connected with a handle which is selectively adjustable relative to the direction of throw of the rotor and provided with a pair of hand grips to enable the unit to either be swung sideways in the manner of a conventional broom or pushed forward along the surface to be cleaned.
