摘要： Apparatus and method for treating a material web, which has at least one nip through which the material web is guided and which is formed between a first revolving, heated surface and a second revolving surface, it being possible for the first surface to be heated to at least 120° C. and both surfaces in the nip having the same direction of movement as the material web. Good surface quality of the material web is obtained by providing a box which bounds a space through which the material web is guided, the space being arranged after the first or after the last nip in the direction of movement of the web.

摘要： A deflection-controllable roll for a calender has an inner support element and an outer support element. Each of the two support elements has a pressure portion and a piston. The pressure portions have support areas with inner and outer pockets. The pistons have pressure areas which delimit an inner pressure chamber and an outer pressure chamber, both of which are connected on one side with the associated pocket by a feed line equipped with a throttle, and on the other side, by a feed line in the carrier. In this way, the deflection-controllable roll is capable of operating in a wide range of line loads, using the available pressures.

摘要： A safety device for the roll space within a calender or other roll machine is disclosed. The rolls when rotating, excite oscillations in the beam at the resonant frequency of the beam. This can occur during start-up or during normal operation. The safety device of the present invention comprises a beam and additional mass that is oscillatorily suspended from the beam in order to reduce the amplitude of the beam oscillations at the beam resonant frequency. In addition, a damping element between additional mass and the beam is used to reduce any undesired oscillations due to newly created resonant frequencies introduced into the system.
