Methods for making N2-phosphinyl amidine compounds, N2-phosphinyl amidinates, N2-phosphinyl amidine metal salt complexes, and N2-phosphinyl amidinate metal salt complexes are also disclosed. Catalyst systems utilizing the N2-phosphinyl amidine metal salt complexes and N2-phosphinyl amidinate metal salt complexes are also disclosed along with the use of the N2-phosphinyl amidine compounds, N2-phosphinyl amidinates, N2-phosphinyl amidine metal salt complexes, and N2-phosphinyl amidinate metal salt complexes for the oligomerization and/or polymerization of olefins.

摘要： A method of modifying the activity of a solid acid catalyst by contact with a carboxylic acid is presented. The modified catalyst is exposed to a feed mixture including olefins in a reaction zone, and an effluent including an isomerized olefin product is withdrawn from the reaction zone. The isomerized olefin product includes a more random distribution of internal olefins than the olefins of the feed mixture. The feed mixture and the isomerized olefin product include linear olefins. The isomerization results in no more than about 10 weight percent additional branched, compared to the olefins of the feed mixture, among the olefins of the isomerized olefin product. The isomerized olefin product includes no more than about 20 weight percent dimer. The olefin monomers of the feed mixture and the isomerized olefin product include from about 4 to about 30 carbon atoms. The effluent includes no more than about 20 weight percent ester. The solid acid catalyst may be an acidic ion exchange resin. The feed mixture may include olefins, esters, and carboxylic acid.

This polymer comprises a polyethylene backbone comprising pendant aminoalkylsulfonic acid amides which comprise a carbonyl directly attached to a backbone carbon, and an amide formed via the amine group from the aminoalkylsulfonic acid. Methods of preparing these polymers by addition of the aminoalkylsulfonic acid to a polymeric anhydride are disclosed. Methods related to oil extraction using the wellbore fluid with the additive are also disclosed.

An oligomer product produced by the process comprising contacting 1) a catalyst mixture comprising i) an aluminum trihalide and ii) an organic liquid carrier comprising first olefins, wherein the organic liquid carrier olefins comprise at least 75 mole % 1,2-disubstituted olefins, trisubstituted olefins, or any combination thereof; and 2) a monomer comprising second olefins to form an oligomer product.
