摘要： The invention relates to free-radical polymerization and free-radical cross-linking and more particularly provides a process of free-radical polymerization or cross-linking wherein at least one polymerizable monomer or at least one compound to be cross-linked is contacted in the presence of at least one selected organic peroxides, characterized in that the organic peroxide is prepared continuously by an ex situ process with the aid of a closed plate exchanger. In the process according to the invention, it's possible to introduce the above selected organic peroxide continuously during the polymerization or cross-linking reaction.

The block co-polymers may be prepared by nitroxide mediated controlled free radical polymerization.

摘要： This invention relates to copolymers of molecular mass of between 5,000 and 300,000, consisting of a hydrophilic central portion, for example a polyacrylamide chain, and of hydrophobic ends the hydrophobicity of which is comparable with that of alkyl groups containing 4-20 carbons. They are produced by polymerization of hydrophilic monomers with the aid of initiators, for example of azo type, the hydrophobic residues of which will constitute the hydrophobic ends of the final copolymer. These copolymers are useful for rheological control of aqueous and/or pigmented compositions, like paints.

摘要： Polymer dispersant of polycarboxylate type comprising at least one copolymer obtained from a monomer composition comprising, in moles: A) 40 to 95% of at least one unsaturated carboxylic monomer, B) 5 to 60% of at least one acrylic ester or methacrylic ester monomer comprising a polyether chain, C) 0 to 20% of at least one third monomer selected from: acrylic ester or methacrylic ester or acrylamide or acrylamide derivative or vinylaromatic monomer or its sulphonated derivative, the copolymer having a controlled molecular mass distribution and being able to be obtained by a process comprising the stages of: i) polymerization in aqueous solution at a temperature ranging from 70 to 95° C. with an initiation and transfer system comprising: D) an oxidizing agent, E) a reducing agent selected from metabisulphite salts, and preferably from sodium metabisulphite or potassium metabisulphite, the monomers/reducing agent molar ratio not exceeding 50, ii) semi-continuous addition of the oxidizing agent and of the mixture of monomers over a time ranging from 1 to 4 hours, iii) introduction of the reducing agent, either as vessel heel, before the beginning of the addition of the oxidizing agent and of the monomers, or semi-continuously, mixed with the monomers, or semi-continuously, as a separate feed from the latter and from the oxidizing agent.
