    • A monolithic nozzle assembly formed with a mono-crystalline silicon substrate includes a damper for temporarily storing an incoming fluid, and a nozzle having a pyramidal portion and an outlet portion, the pyramidal portion for guiding the flow of the fluid from the damper toward the outlet portion and for increasing the pressure of the fluid, and the outlet portion through which the fluid is discharged, wherein the damper, and the pyramidal and outlet portions of the nozzle are aligned with each other and formed in the single mono-crystalline silicon substrate by continuous processes. The monolithic nozzle assembly can be formed with a single (100) mono-crystalline silicon wafer. Compared with a complicated nozzle assembly formed using a great number of silicon wafers and plates, the configuration of the monolithic nozzle assembly is simple, and can be manufactured on a mass production scale by semiconductor manufacturing processes.

    • An electron gun is provided for a color CRT having a triode for emitting, controlling, and accelerating R, G, B beams, and main lens forming electrodes for focusing the R, G, B beams emitted from the triode onto a screen. The electron gun includes first dynamic quadrupole lens forming electrodes for providing a vertical focusing action and a horizontal focusing action to be applied to the R, G, B beams such that the vertical focusing action is different from the horizontal focusing action, and second dynamic quadrupole lens forming electrodes for providing horizontal/vertical focusing actions to be applied to the R, B beams, side beams, and horizontal/vertical focusing actions to be applied to the G beam, a center beam, the horizontal/vertical focusing actions to be applied to the R, B beams being different from the horizontal/vertical focusing actions to be applied to the G beam. The first dynamic quadrupole lens forming electrodes and the second dynamic quadrupole lens forming electrodes being are arranged in order starting from the main lens forming electrodes toward the triode, thereby enhancing a resolution.

    • A focusing electrode in an electron gun for a color cathode ray tube comprises: a first focusing electrode including one end with vertical plate electrodes projected toward cathodes in three vertically elongated electron beam through holes, and an inner electrode having three electron beam through holes disposed therein, adapted to be applied of a static voltage; and a second focusing electrode including horizontal plate electrodes respectively formed at upper and lower sides of three electron beam through holes inserted into the vertically elongated electron beam through holes in the first focussing electrode, adapted to be applied of a dynamic voltage synchronous to a deflection of the electron beams, wherein a dynamic quadrupole lens is formed among the vertical plate electrodes, the horizontal plate electrodes, and the inner electrode when applying the dynamic voltage to the second focusing electrode, and the intensity of the dynamic quadrupole lens can be controlled by controlling the depth of the inner electrode which is mounted in the first focusing electrode.
