摘要： An electrostatic photographic copying machine includes a photosensitive body having a photosensitive layer on its surface, a charging apparatus, a developing device and a transfer device arranged along a moving passage of the photosensitive body. An optical system projects an image of an original onto the surface of the charged photosensitive body, and a fixation apparatus fixes a transferred image onto copying paper. The electrostatic photographic copying machine is provided with an original paper inserting port, an original paper carrying passage, a first original paper discharging port for discharging the original paper in a forward direction, a second original paper discharging port for discharging the original paper in a rearward direction, a copying paper supplying apparatus, copying paper carrying passages, a first copying paper discharging port for discharging the copying paper in a forward direction, a second copying paper discharging port for discharging the copying paper in a rearward direction, and changing mechanism for changing the directions of movement of the original paper and the copying paper to the forward and rearward directions thereof, respectively.

摘要： A copying machine of the diazo type comprises a light exposure zone for exposing to light a diazo type photosensitive sheet superposed with an original, a development zone for developing the light exposed photosensitive sheet and a delivery mechanism for feeding the original and diazo type photosensitive sheet to the light exposure zone and forwarding the light exposed photosensitive sheet to the development zone. The light exposure zone includes a transparent cylinder capable of rotating while having a superposed assembly of the original and photosensitive sheet closely contacting the outer surface thereof and a heat-generating light source mounted in the interior of the transparent cylinder. The transparent cylinder has a fan for feeding cold air into the transparent cylinder from one end thereof and cooling the outer surface of the transparent cylinder substantially uniformly along the entire length thereof and a temperature-detecting mechanism thermoconductively contacting the outer surface of the transparent cylinder to detect the temperature of the outer surface. A temperature-controlling mechanism is provided to control the air feed rate of the fan in response to signals from the temperature detecting mechanism, to control the temperature of the outer surface of the transparent cylinder within a predetermined temperature range.

摘要： An electrostatic copying apparatus includes a paper jam detector for producing a jamming signal in response to detection of a paper jam, an emergency stopping device for stopping the copying process in response to the paper jamming signal, and a manually operable release switch for actuation after the paper jam has been cleared to release the stopping action of the emergency stopping means. A preparatory driving device, responsive to the releasing of the stopping action of the emergency stopping device by the operation of the release switch, energizes the main motor of the copying apparatus to move the photosensitive member of the apparatus through at least one rotation. A cleaning device, also responsive to releasing of the stopping action of the emergency stopping device by the operation of the release switch, cleans the photosensitive member during that rotation to assure that the photosensitive member is clean after the jam is cleared and before the next copying cycle.

摘要： A support mount for the rotary drum of an electrostatic copying apparatus. A pair of guide and support members is positioned within the copier housing, spaced from each other a predetermined distance in the direction of the central axis of the drum. Each guide and support member has a shaft support opening with a recess extending substantially perpendicular to the drum axis and a main guide surface extending from the lower end of the recess away from the shaft support opening and substantially perpendicular to the drum axis. When the peripheral surfaces of the drum bearing members are moved along the main guide surfaces, each bearing member passes through the respective recess and is positioned within the respective support opening. A pair of projecting pieces are positioned at the side plates of a frame of the copying apparatus developing device. After positioning of the drum bearing member in the shaft support opening, the free ends of the projecting pieces abut the peripheral surface of the bearing members to fix the frame within the house.
