A reference variable which characterizes the operating behavior of the electromagnetic actuator is ascertained, the auxiliary variable is modified as a function of the reference variable to obtain a modified auxiliary variable, and the modified auxiliary variable is checked for the presence of the predefinable characteristic.

摘要： In a method for regulating a boost pressure of an engine which has a compressor, an actual boost pressure and a setpoint boost pressure are used as input parameters. The setpoint boost pressure is regulated in such a way that a pressure ratio in the compressor does not exceed a limit pressure ratio. A reference boost pressure is ascertained based on a speed of the engine and a load of the engine. A flow and/or a pressure of air supplied to the engine is/are detected and an associated flow signal and/or pressure signal is generated. The smaller of the reference boost pressure and a limit boost pressure is used as a setpoint boost pressure. The limit boost pressure is ascertained based on a limit boost pressure ratio and a speed of the compressor.

In a subsequent combustion cycle, fuel is injected by the at least one first injection valve into the induction manifold and by the at least one second injection valve directly into the combustion chamber or only by the at least one second injection valve directly into the combustion chamber.

摘要： The invention deals with a method to determine the fuel composition of a fuel mixture from a first fuel and a second fuel for the operation of an internal combustion engine, wherein the first and the second fuel have different octane numbers and wherein the internal combustion engine has at least one knock sensor and a closed-loop knock control. Provision is made according to the invention for the composition of the fuel mixture to be determined by means of an output signal of the knock sensor. Provision is made in many cases for the knock sensor to already be in the internal combustion engine, so that it does not present any additional expenditure of money or effort. Because the octane number of the fuel mixture is determined by the mixing ratio of the fuels involved, which have different octane numbers, in retrospect the composition of the fuel mixture can be suggested from the signal of the knock sensor under suitable operating conditions.
