A dynamic desired torque component is determined from a demanded desired engine torque, and is used to determine a corresponding displacement of the ignition point or of the injection start, while a remaining quasi-static desired torque component is regulated by a corresponding adjustment of the air flow rate or of the fuel injection duration.

摘要： The invention provides a process and apparatus for controlling combustion in an Otto combustion engine in which the control variables that control combustion are determined for a particular power cycle as a function of the detected combustion course of a preceding power cycle. According to the invention, a desired burn-through function value for a particular power cycle is precalculated based on values of pertaining influence factors detected in a preceding power cycle, to determine an actual burn-through function value of the particular power cycle in real time. The desired burn-through function is compared with the actual burn-through function and actualized values for the burn-through function influence factors are determined. These factors are used to determine the control variable values for a subsequent power cycle.

摘要： The invention relates to a method for operating a diesel engine in which an air ratio (λ) of the fuel which is to be burnt and of the combustion air supplied is set by a control unit (14) according to predetermined values. When a value (15) which is predetermined as a switching criterion is recorded, the control unit (14) switches to a special operating mode for regeneration of a catalytic converter (22) and sets the fuel/air ratio according to predetermined values for this operating mode.To achieve more effective regeneration of the catalytic converter, according to the invention it is provided that at least one afterinjection, which is separated in time from a main injection, of fuel which is also to be burnt takes place in the special operating mode.

摘要： A sensor arrangement and engine management device for a combustion engine, the engine management device including the sensor arrangement for detecting variables indicative of engine load, a mechanism for determining engine load on the basis of measured values supplied by the sensor, as well as a throttle-valve position control loop. At least two of the sensors of the sensor arrangement, which may include a mass air-flow sensor, an intake-air temperature sensor, an induction-pipe pressure sensor, and a throttle-valve position sensor, are microintegrated in a modular unit. The engine management device is made such that a sensor device with the at least two sensors, the mechanism for determining, engine load and/or the throttle-valve position controller used in the throttle-valve position control loop are microintegrated in a modular unit. The engine management device can be used, for example, for controlling a spark ignition engine in a motor vehicle.

The pressure in the distributor pressure space, which is assigned jointly to the engine combustion chambers, of the common-rail fuel injection system is detected for a respective fuel injection operation for a respective combustion chamber in its signal course via a pressure sensor of the distributor pressure space. From the detected pressure course, a pertaining pressure course pattern is obtained from which the at least one fuel-injection-related parameter is determined individually for each combustion space and each injection operation.
