In accordance with embodiments of the present disclosure, a system for impeding vertebra displacement includes an elongated member. The elongated member includes a proximal end and a distal end. The system also includes a first fastener attached to the proximal end and configured to be coupled to a first vertebra. Additionally, the system includes a second fastener attached to the distal end and configured to be coupled to a second vertebra. The system further includes an implant coupled between the second vertebra and a third vertebra and configured to promote a fusion of the second vertebra and the third vertebra.

The system may include a central core and endcaps attached to the central core. The endcap may include a first surface to be attached to the first end or the second end of the central core, and a second surface to be in contact with a vertebra above or below the patient's intervertebral cavity space. Additionally, a cavity may be formed within the endcap, such that the cavity has a cavity floor proximate to the first surface and an opening at least partially surrounded by the second surface to contain bone material to be fused with the vertebra.

An operating sleeve is received in the housing and is interconnected with the closing sleeve so that movement in the operating sleeve will cause the closing sleeve to move. The closing sleeve is detachably connected to the housing and is movable from the first or open position to a second or closed position in which it covers cementing ports defined in the housing. The tool has a plurality of lock rings that are moved with the closing sleeve. A plurality of locking grooves are adapted to receive the lock rings such that the engagement of any of the lock rings with any of the locking grooves will prevent the closing sleeve from moving out of the closed position.

摘要： The present disclosure includes systems, apparatuses, and devices for impeding vertebra displacement. In accordance with embodiments of the present disclosure, a method for performing spinal fusion surgery includes implanting a spinal fusion instrumentation between a second and a third vertebra so as to promote a fusion between the second and third vertebra. The method also includes coupling a first fastener attached to a first end of an elongated tissue to a first vertebra that is not coupled to the second vertebra or the third vertebra via the spinal fusion instrumentation. Additionally, the method includes coupling a second fastener attached to a second end of the elongated tissue to the second vertebra, so as to impede a lateral displacement of the first vertebra after the spinal fusion surgery.

摘要： Systems and methods for activating a down hole tool in a wellbore. A piston is moveable from a first position to a second position for activating the down hole tool. The piston includes a first side exposed to an activation chamber, and a second side operatively coupled to the down hole tool. A rupture member has a first side exposed to the activation chamber and a second side exposed to the interior of a base pipe. The rupture member is configured to rupture when a pressure differential between the activation chamber and the interior reaches a predetermined threshold value, at which point the rupture member allows fluid communication between the interior and the activation chamber to pressurize the activation chamber and move the piston, thereby activating the down hole tool.
