    • A novel, easy to use, and computational efficient rubber sheeting algorithm is designed for interactive image registration in a web-based application environment. The algorithm has two steps, including a piece-wise linear interpolation step to interactively find a suitable set of control points and displacement vectors, and a following optional global radial basis wrap step to generate smoother result using the final control point set. A dynamic Delaunay triangulation method is designed to efficiently update the decomposition of the image. Natural and intuitive wrapping result will be dynamically generated in real-time while the user interactively insert, delete or drag a control point. The number of control points is not limited, and a large number of control points can be used if necessary without compromising the performance of the algorithm. With enough control points specified using the piece-wise rubber-sheeting step, the wrapping result can be further smoothed by using the optional, click-button poly-quadric global wrapping method in the second step. The algorithm is implemented as a Java Applet and able to run as a cross-platform web-based application.

    • An entirely wearable electrical connector for power/data connectivity. The principal element of a modular network is the wearable electrical connector, which is integrated into a personal area network with USB compatibility. Several wearable connector embodiments are disclosed. The first, an O-ring based version, was subsequently replaced by a more mature second version, which is based on anisotropic pressure sensitive conductive elastomer. Both are snap-style, low-profile, 360°-moving, round, blind operable plug-and-play, reconfigurable wearable connectors with power/data daisy-lattice-style connectivity. A third embodiment comprises a non-conductive elastomeric environmental seal. A fourth embodiment utilizes a self-acting, automatic shutter-type environmental seal. A fifth embodiment comprises a smaller version that resembles a conventional snap fastener commonly used on clothing. The inventive technology will benefit the military and public safety personnel such as police, fire, EMT and other services that require special protective clothing integrated with multiple electronic devices. Other applications include special clothing for the disabled, prisoners, the mentally ill and children. A non-wearable embodiment is used to provide evidence of tampering of a container.

    • A disposable foil grill is disclosed which consists of a corrugated and perforated sheet of heavy duty aluminum foil. The corrugations allow smoke to access virtually the entire bottom surface of the food being cooked so that the desired barbecue flavor is obtained. Fat from meat being cooked drips into troughs formed by the corrugation and exits through holes in the troughs onto the coals for generation of the smoke and flame which give food a desireable barbecue flavor. Another advantage of the disclosed disposable grill cover is that the distances between adjacent troughs may be changed by a slight pull on the ends of the foils to perfectly align the troughs with the spacings between the wire grating of the grill. In this way, holes formed in the bottom of the troughs for fat drippings do not allow the drippings to come in contact with the wire grating.
