The method receives flow descriptions for flows coming from the client network, aggregates the flow descriptions for the flows coming from the client network as a function of an aggregation criterion, transmits the aggregated flow descriptions to a collection device, analyzes the flow descriptions for the flows coming from the client network to determine at least one flow characteristic specific to the client network, receives flow descriptions for flows coming from the interconnection network, filters the flow descriptions for the flows coming from the interconnection network, in which the flow descriptions for flows lacking the at least one determined flow characteristic specific to the client network are eliminated, and transmits the filtered flow descriptions to the collection equipment.

    • A device manages a management database in the form of objects to be managed that are referenced according to a reference specification. Equipment exchanges management data in the form of data structures indicated by patterns each corresponding to a respective referenced object and being assigned a respective identifier. In order to manage a given object, the device and the equipment store synchronization information associating the reference of the given object and the corresponding pattern identifier. In order to manage a given object, the equipment sends the corresponding pattern assigned the respective identifier and a data ticket which has a structure indicated by said pattern and is assigned said identifier. The device translates the pattern into the respective referenced object as a function of the identifier of said pattern and the synchronization information, and then stores the data from the received ticket in the management database.

    • A data packet transmission network comprises a stream of packets of data sent by a first terminal passes in transit through at least one network equipment with which there is associated a stream measurement unit; wherein said first terminal and said measurement unit are connected to a collection unit.     • A method of distributing applications in a first network destined for user terminals is provided. The method includes downloading an application to a user terminal via a first download server associated with the first network, the downloaded application being stored in an entity within a second network interconnected with the first network. Prior to downloading, the method includes: sending, from the first download server, a message containing rules relating to applications likely to be downloaded by the first download server, to a central control server; receiving, by a second download server associated with the second network, a download request sent from the first download server; sending, by the second download server, a response message to the first download server, the response message including data allowing downloading; and transmitting a message containing information relating to the downloading of the application, from the second download server to the central control server.

    • A technique is provided for delivering content to a user. The user sends at least one quality indicator to a first content-delivery device, referred to as a secondary device.
