摘要： Apparatus for taking samples of fluid, such as industrial waste and sewage effluent, including a sampling cup slidably mounted in guide means adapted to extend downwardly in the fluid. Hoisting means lowers and raises the cup, and discharge means at the guide causes the cup to tip and discharge its contents when the cup is raised to a predetermined level. The guide means usually is a tube with the cup slidably mounted therein, and the cup is unbalanced but normally retained in an upright position by the tube. When the cup reaches an opening in the tube this unbalanced state causes it to tip over and discharge its contents.
